Thanks to Northeast Ohio Craft Beverage News for highlighting the awesome pumpkin b**rs in our marketplace and keeping us little guys in the mix. We appreciate you.
Speaking of Linus's Latte, ummm you guys finished off our first batch already....no worries, though, we are tapping batch #2 this week! We gotcha!

🎃 30 DAYS. 20 BEERS. ONE #1.
For the last month, we’ve worked our way through Northeast Ohio’s pumpkin b**r bench — from longtime fall staples to small-brewery sleepers we frankly didn’t know enough about when we started.
You saw 19 Top 20 spotlights. We deliberately kept one b**r hidden.
Now it’s time.
Here are NEOCBN’s Top 20 Northeast Ohio Pumpkin B**rs:
20. Porch Pumpkin — Red Wagon Brewing Company | Columbia Station
Real pumpkin, fall spice, cinnamon sticks and graham cracker make this one a fitting tribute to the pumpkin-growing tradition at Red Wagon Farm.
19. Chai One On — Sandy Springs Brewing Company | Minerva
A hefty 9.1% stout that brings chai spice into the pumpkin-b**r conversation.
18. The Fall of the House of Butternut — Codex Brewing | North Canton
An 8% fall b**r that proves pumpkin doesn’t have to be the only squash invited to the party.
17. Great Lakes Pumpkin Ale — Great Lakes Brewing Co. | Cleveland
A Northeast Ohio fall veteran that has been returning to taps and shelves for roughly two decades.
16. Kürbisleichen — Forest City Brewery | Cleveland
An 8% pumpkin ale from one of Cleveland’s smallest breweries that quietly earned its place in a very deep field.
15. Haunted Grounds on Hillcrest — New Berlin Brewing Company | North Canton
Roasted pumpkin, coffee, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg come together in one of the biggest sleepers we uncovered during this series.
14. Das Pumpkin — Akronym Brewing | Akron
A proven seasonal with enough history behind it to stand out in an increasingly crowded Northeast Ohio pumpkin-b**r field.
13. Pumpkinseed Ale — Muskellunge Brewing Co. | Canton
Made with 50 pounds of pumpkin and backed by a 2023 U.S. Open B**r Championship gold medal in the Pumpkin B**r category.
12. 99 Pumpkins — Lorain Brewing Company | Lorain
A strong pumpkin ale whose roots stretch back to the former Avon Brewing Company.
11. Haunted Hayride — Masthead Brewing Co. | Cleveland
One of the region’s more established modern pumpkin releases and a b**r that keeps returning each fall.
THE TOP 10
10. The Grimm — BIRDFISH BREWING CO. | Columbiana
Pumpkin meets pecans, graham crackers, honey and fall spices in one of the more distinctive b**rs on this list.
9. Yard Haunt —HiHO Brewing Company | Cuyahoga Falls
Vanilla and lactose give this pumpkin ale a richer profile without pushing it completely into dessert-b**r territory.
8. Frankensteinian Method — Wooly Pig Farm Brewery | Fresno
One of the strangest b**rs in the Top 20 — a dark, hoppy l***r brewed with pumpkin but without the usual pumpkin-pie spice playbook.
7. Nightmare on North — Paradigm Shift Brewing Co. | Massillon
One of the discoveries that forced us to rewrite this ranking while the series was already underway. Big, 8.2% and deserving of far more attention outside Massillon.
6. Linus’s Latte — Broadview Brewing Co. | Broadview Heights
Another late discovery that crashed the party. Brown sugar, pumpkin spice and coffee in a massive 9.1% fall b**r — and one of the biggest sleepers on this entire list.
THE TOP FIVE
5. Twisted Stem Pumpkin Ale — Lockport Brewery | Bolivar
Big at 8.5%, flavorful and one of those b**rs that deserves to be mentioned far more often when Northeast Ohio’s best pumpkin b**rs come up.
4. Pope’s Imperial Pumpkin Ale — Millersburg Brewing Company | Millersburg
A 9% imperial pumpkin ale with serious staying power — and a World B**r Cup bronze medal on its résumé.
3. Spooky Tooth — Fat Head's Brewery | Middleburg Heights
One of Northeast Ohio’s defining pumpkin b**rs. Big, widely distributed, enormously popular and still one of the standards by which the region’s pumpkin ales are measured.
2. Frog’s Hollow Double Pumpkin Ale — Hoppin' Frog Brewery | Akron
An imperial pumpkin heavyweight with years of history and a national reputation. In almost any other region, this could easily be the b**r at #1.
But we kept one b**r hidden for all 30 days.
And here it is.
🥇 #1 — BARREL-AGED IMPERIAL PUMPKIN ALE — THIRSTY DOG BREWING CO. | AKRON
We never gave it a spotlight. We never told you it made the Top 20. And that was intentional.
Thirsty Dog Brewing Co. takes its Imperial Pumpkin Ale and puts it into bourbon barrels, creating a bigger, richer version where pumpkin and fall spice meet oak, bourbon and warming alcohol.
Among an extraordinarily deep field, Barrel-Aged Imperial Pumpkin Ale is our #1 Northeast Ohio pumpkin b**r.
And perhaps the biggest thing we learned over these 30 days?
Northeast Ohio is ridiculously deep in pumpkin b**r. We found legitimate contenders in Akron, Cleveland, Canton, Massillon, Broadview Heights, Columbiana, Bolivar, Millersburg and communities all across our footprint. We found b**rs good enough to make a Top 20 that still couldn’t get in.
Now it’s your turn.
🎃 What’s YOUR #1?
Which b**r did we rank too high? Too low? And what did we leave out entirely?
That’s a wrap on 30 Days of NEO Pumpkin B**rs.
