Hi friends!
I won’t be offering any meals on hotplate today for next week. I’m going to be very busy with prepping next week for the October Night Market on Tuesday, October 27.

I need to do all kinds of canning and menu prepping! I’ve got lots of ideas for new items and old favorites for y’all. It should be a really fun night with costumes and the Chili Cook Off.

I’ll be posting more about the Night Market soon!

What a privilege it is to grow organic vegetables for my families. When I started the CSA, I was a little nervous about being able to provide for 8 weeks. We have been blessed though. I’m so grateful.

Y’all remember me talking about North Georgia Candy Roasters? I’m so excited that I actually have one growing. Hopefully it will get big before first frost. Y’all cross those fingers for me. 🤞

Look what came to visit last night! A black witch moth! I read an article that they are pretty rare in Georgia as they live in subtropical and tropical areas. Think this lady must have flown in with Isaias. The black witch moth is the largest noctuoid moth found in the US.

You can tell it’s a female because of the scalloped pattern on her wings. There are a lot of superstitions around this moth. Depending on the country, she is a harbinger of death, an ancestor coming back to see you, or a lucky money moth. If she touches your door, as this one did to me, you are supposed to win the lottery. So y’all know what I’ll be buying today.

What a beauty. I hope she has safe travels wherever she roams. They are such strong flyers that they are sometimes found in Canada and Africa!

Hi friends! Hope everyone can through the storm ok. That wind was fierce this morning. We had some minor damage at the farm, but overall everything came through ok. Glad to have the power back! A big thank you to the hardworking linemen out there.

Two EXCITING announcements

First, the next meal preorder drop opens tomorrow and it will be chicken two ways— Chicken and Dumplings and Mini Chicken Pot Pies 🥕🍗🥧

My kids can’t get enough of the dumplings and they are some picky eaters! The chicken pot pies got rave reviews last time we made them, so be sure to grab one while the preorder is open.

We are also going to have Mom’s Carrot Cake on the menu. 🥕🎂

Second! We can now offer delivery through GrubHub and Uber Eats! 🚗💨

📆All you have to do is schedule a pick up time on the app when you order, select 3rd party delivery, and the driver will come get it from me and bring it to you!
