June 19th brought us kids from our other new doe P.P. This is a pretty interesting set of kids that are linebred on Axl Rose with Blessns also appearing on both sides of the pedigree. Simply because I’ve retained so many kids this year both are available so here’s one of your last chances to get a doeling out of us this season.

I’m going to do some rapid fire summer kidding update because I failed at finishing up June 😅 Now that things are back to some normalcy effort will be made to stay up to date for you all.

June 15th our new doe Hunny kidded 2D 1B, unfortunately buck kid was lost about a week in due to a systemic infection but BOTH doelings are retained. I’m very excited to combine a new doe line with Oaks as Hunny is a direct Kora daughter for the followers of the Denbow goats! The gold is slowly taking over here it seems too 💛😅

We have a very small herd of Nubians so now that we have retained 4 daughters it is time for Holler to move to a new herd. I kept them all as dry yearlings so they have not freshened yet. Only a few were shown limitedly but 1 of them earned several 1sts and a RCH. He has been used for pen breeding or on a lead and is well mannered. He also has very nice feet with a symmetrical tight toe.

We loaded into Sonoma County Fair for the first time which has been a bucket list item for us! Goats are riding out their haircuts from State Fair so workload is much less this time around so we can enjoy the experience. It’s a wee chilly here so me and the girls will be enjoying some sweater weather.

Good gosh, I think I’ve lost it 😅🤪

I said my goal for the year was to attempt more AIs and I go and decide that a maiden dry yearling is the way to start the year off. We learned that Mom’s baby girl actually has great manners for the activity that we did. I don’t have any expectation but maybe we will be rewarded for our efforts Tminus 25 days I guess.🤞🏻🧬🧪

I’m so behind on sharing how the show season has gone for us, but it has been fruitful everywhere we go!

At the end of June we made the trek to Fallon, NV for a three ring show and put in a crazy long day. Thank you to our amazing vets at Darling Veterinary Clinic for checking over the girls for their CVI. What made this group so special is 4/5 of the NDs have Oaks in their pedigree and all found great success.

SWEET 2 BY 2 EROTIC CHOCOLATE
My favorite little yearling milker for the year was 🥇 w/ 🥇Udder and 🥈 (forgot the last ring). So excited for my Bizarre daughter in the coming years.

SWEET 2 BY 2 CHOCOLATE STOUT
Stout wasn’t 100% dialed in this day but still managed 2x Reserve 🏅, 2x 🥇 & 🥈 with one of those being a 🥇Udder as well. It was so fun to be successful in the ANDDA specialty show where she is now highlighted on the website!

SWEET 2 BY 2 VELVET TOUCH
This is our little black Oaks x Erotic doeling that has been my kid for the year I’ve decided is the “special” one. Well she stepped up and was 2x 🥇 & 🥈 with a Reserve 🏅 too.

SWEET 2 BY 2 MUDDY BUDDY
Muddy made her debut and I know she got at least one 🥇. She is a repeat Oaks x Dud cross and I’m very excited for this one as a sr doe.

SWEET 2 BY 2 IN A TIZZY
Tizzy got tattooed, named, registered and entered her first show all in the same week and walked out 🥇 & Jr GCH 🏆 & Jr BOB in the ANDDA specialty ring under Cathy Pindell! Sometimes there’s those kids you just have to let be goats for awhile and then they really blossom. She’s out little 2x Tomo Quinn project that we are really enjoying.

SWEET 2 BY 2 SPEAK EASY
With her sister getting her leg it was Speaky’s turn to come out. She didn’t bring home any ribbons but held her own competing as an October Jr yearling with all the Sr yearlings.

It was great to spend the day with some of our usual goat friends that also made the trip and meet some new goatie people!

We have just 2 March/April Ram lambs that are looking for new flocks. They are ready to have you pick their names and introduce them to your ewes. Both are sired by a spotted Prairie Farms Ram and the black one is out of a Moon Hollow ewe. We are a biosecurity tested flock in Chico, CA. Willing to work with transport arrangements.
