Nothing goes to waste here—and when it comes from good people, it’s even better.

Organic juice pulp from Zen Donkey Farms is getting a second life on our farm, giving our pasture-raised hens (and yes… the guardian dogs too) an extra boost of nutrition 🌱

This is how we like to do things—real food, real cycles, real partnerships. What’s leftover in one place becomes fuel in another.

As we conclude our final week of the Winter CSA, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our community.
This season represented a major milestone for our operations. For the first time, the support of our CSA members and winter market attendees allowed us to keep our full staff employed throughout the entire winter. Your commitment directly supports our team and the stability of local agriculture in Kansas City.

The infrastructure shown here is where we have spent the last several months expanding our knowledge of winter growing. We have learned an incredible amount this year and are already implementing improvements to provide even more diverse, nutrient-dense options for Winter 2027.

2026 CSA Enrollment
Official registration for our 2026 seasons will open on April 4th.
Spring CSA: April 11 – June 6
Summer CSA: June 13 – August 15

New for 2026: We are pleased to introduce a Full Season CSA for those who wish to support the farm throughout the entire year.

We are ready for the season to begin and look forward to seeing you at the markets.

🐔 Chicken Math is real.

Step 1: “Let’s get a few chickens.”
Step 2: “Well… a few more would make sense.”
Step 3: Suddenly you look outside and realize you have hundreds of chickens.

Today’s photo is our newest group of pullets at 16 weeks old settling into their new chicken house.

They’re already out on pasture, learning how to scratch, forage, and live like chickens should. We’ll keep rotating them across fresh grass until they’re ready to start laying in a few weeks.

Like all of our birds at TableTop Farms, they’re raised on organic grain and fresh pasture, which is what gives our eggs the rich golden yolks many of you already know and love.

So yes…Chicken Math says we definitely needed all these chickens.
