Week 6 deliveries began early this morning, so we wanted to interrupt your scrolling tonight with some meal ideas we’ve been seeing our fresh produce used for! 🍽️💚 As Week 6 gets underway, what are you most excited to make with your share this week?

One of Tim & Christy’s favorite meals from Week 5 was this delicious plate of green beans, red potatoes, and kielbasa sausage made with fresh produce from the farm and paired with several ears of delicious homegrown sweet corn. 🫛🌽 As your farmers, they believe simple summer meals like this are hard to beat!

Week 5 deliveries have wrapped up, and one item that was a staple in shares this week was green beans! 🫛🚚 One of our members shared this delicious kettle full of fresh-picked green beans, red potatoes, and turkey bacon made from her CSA produce this week.

It looks like the perfect summer side dish, especially for Father’s Day weekend meals! 🍽️💚 Green beans are one of Tim’s absolute favorites, and if your dad is a fan too, you’ll have to make sure he enjoys some on his plate this weekend as part of the celebration.

Sweet corn made its arrival in Week 5! 🌽🚚 We hope everyone is enjoying these first ears, but there was someone who enjoyed this fresh sweet corn before anyone else… our sweet Coby.

Last week, when just a few ears were ready as one of the earliest farms in Central Ohio with this favorite, Coby needed to be the first one to try it. We didn’t have quite enough for members at that time, but that was something he never missed. As you can see in these photos, sweet corn has been one of his favorite parts of CSA season ever since he was a puppy.

The first image Tim captured is Coby enjoying his final ear of corn before we said our goodbyes. 🐾🥹 He loved every bite!

Many of our farm pick-up members may have noticed that the happy boy—always looking for ear scratches and belly rubs—wasn’t there to greet them as they picked up their produce this afternoon. After ongoing health issues, we had to make the difficult decision to let him go, and he is already deeply missed here at the farm. The barn didn’t feel quite the same as we’ve been prepping CSA deliveries this week.

As you enjoy your sweet corn this week, just know the best taste tester of them all already gave it his seal of approval for the season. 💛🌽🐾 You were so loved, Coby!

It’s been a busy morning kicking off Week 5! 🚚🌱 Tuesday deliveries went out early, and then the focus shifted to preparing for tomorrow in the barn.

Fresh-picked produce was brought in from the fields, unloaded, counted, prepped, and organized so it will be ready for Wednesday members. 🥬🫛🥒 Each day brings plenty of hard work so these fresh, local favorites can make their way to families all across Central Ohio!

We hope Tuesday members are enjoying their deliveries and Wednesday members are getting excited! 🍽️💚 What are you looking forward to most on your family’s table this week?

Bean season is officially underway, and Week 5 deliveries begin tomorrow morning! 🫛🚚 Who else is feeling excited?

Green beans made their return in Week 4, which is always one of our members’ favorite signs of summer. One of our farm pick-up members, Anisa, told us last week she had been looking forward to making a dinner of ham and fresh green beans ever since she customized her share. We hope she and all of our members enjoyed that first taste because there are plenty more where that came from!

As you can see, the fields are full and producing beautifully, meaning this summer favorite will be around for many weeks to come. 😍🌱 The excitement continues this week as members will begin receiving wax beans too!

Similar to the green beans you know and love, wax beans have a beautiful yellow color and are another delicious summer favorite for your meals. 💛🍽️ We highly recommend giving them a try for a pop of color on your plate these sunny summer evenings.
