The baby chicks moved on up to their big house! They all seem great this morning after the move yesterday.
As they grow, we’ll open up more of the barn for them. They are enjoying their best chick life❤️😀

Bexley was excited to check out the Rowan County Fair exhibits today! Her watermelon didn’t make “the show,” and David’s didn’t make it to the fair—but she was pretty proud to see her Uncle Logan’s giant watermelon take home the win! 🍉🏆
Bexley loved all the amazing creative exhibits, and she was very impressed with all the baked goods…even if she couldn’t sample them! 😂

The fair is in town through Saturday night! Come check out the exhibits, racing pigs, petting zoo, and Junior Dairy Show Friday & Saturday. 🎡🐷🐄

A few days ago, I was worried about keeping these baby chicks cool. Last night and today, I’m worried about keeping them warm!
They have on all the heaters, are covered up, and their temps are right where they should be for 16 days old chicks.
They don’t seem too concerned, though…they just seem hungry!

People often ask, “How long will this last?” Our answer is usually, “Much longer than you think!”

We’re conditioned to believe fresh produce goes bad quickly, but when stored properly, it can last much longer than you’d expect.

We last sold potatoes about 60 days ago, and they’ve been sitting in our potato drawer for weeks. They still looked picture-perfect, felt firm, and I was able to use 100% of them!
(Now I’m down to one grande purple potato!)

Come see us tomorrow at the Davidson Farmers Market. Our next crops are ready and we will have arugula, mustard greens, kale, cantaloupe, acorn squash, heirloom tomatoes, red tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, tiny tomatoes, bell peppers, shish*to peppers, and eggplant. Tomorrow will be our last eggs until the new babies are old enough to lay.

Come see us tomorrow at the Davidson Farmers Market. Our next crops are ready and we will have Heirloom Tomatoes, red tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, tiny tomatoes, bell peppers, shish*to peppers, and eggplant. We will also have eggs and possibly some other new fall crops.
