🌩️🚜 Farm Life Update 🚜🌩️
After weeks of waiting, we finally had the insurance adjuster out today to inspect all the damage from last month's hail storm. 😔
Mother Nature definitely left her mark on Rustic Owl Farm. From damaged buildings and roofing to battered screens and everything in between, it's been a challenging few weeks. But that's farm life—you dust yourself off, make a plan, and keep moving forward. 💪🌾
We're grateful for everyone who has checked in on us, offered help, and kept us in your thoughts. ❤️ Now we're hoping the claims process goes smoothly so we can start putting everything back together.
One thing about us... we may get knocked down, but we don't stay down for long. 🚜🦉

Some days at Rustic Owl Farm are quiet… and some days are 7½ hours of pure sweat, dirt, sunshine, and teamwork. 💪🌾
Today’s accomplishments: 🚜 Fields planted
🌸 Flower beds w**ded and freshly planted around the house
🪨 Rocks dug up and reset
💧 Drainage ditch cleaned out
🌱 Countless gallons of w**d killer sprayed
🌾 Mowed and w**d-eated until the farm looked sharp again
Farm life isn’t glamorous most days… it’s dusty boots, sore backs, dirty hands, and looking around at sunset feeling proud of what got done. ❤️
Little by little, Rustic Owl Farm keeps growing into the dream we’ve worked so hard for. 🦉🌻

Apparently this year’s asparagus harvest was a team effort… and by team, I mean the deer, rabbits, and whatever else wandered through the farm while we were late getting things cleaned up. 😂🌱
After all that waiting, THIS lone little asparagus spear survived to tell the story. Guess we’ll call it our 2026 harvest! 🫶
Farm life keeps you humble… and apparently well-fed wildlife keeps you on your toes. 🦌🐇

The peaceful surroundings have been truly rejuvenating, and gratitude is expressed to friends and neighbors for their thoughtful offerings of fresh eggs and flowers 🌼. Despite the significant workload ahead upon returning to the farm, the relaxing atmosphere persists.

Farmhouse Tip of the Day 🦉
Freeze a few bottles of water or Gatorade before a road trip or market day. They keep your cooler cold without the watery mess — and as they thaw, you’ve got an ice-cold drink ready to go. 🚜❄️🥤
Everyone stay safe this Memorial Weekend

Tonight I hung my St. Brigid scarf on the door to be blessed.
It’s a simple old tradition, but one that carries a lot of hope—for protection, healing, and peace in the days ahead.
Standing there in the cold, with snow on the ground and quiet all around, it felt like a small act of faith and intention.
Sometimes the smallest rituals bring the most comfort.
