Kidding pen is set up for Mama and Lainey! I need to add a water bucket yet, and put a hay feeder in, but the barn is clean and ready to go! The camera was set up today, and I will be getting them moved in Monday. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Any of my breeder friends in need of some next boxes or a cage?

Standard size (worked well for my New Zealand’s and Harlequins) I believe I have 6-7. They are wooden.

Also have a 30x30 wire cage. Heavy duty wire, minimal rust, floor is in great shape. No tray.

You are almost there mama!

We are at the point of pregnancy where we just bounce off of things. She is HUGE, but no bag yet. 11 days till we can start watching for kids! I am not convinced Lainey took to this breeding, but she could just be carrying one, and hiding it well.

Anyone want to guess how many mama will have?! She has only had singles in past years.

Well these guys are being put into the grow out cage at 6 weeks old. Our little sable bucks ear apparently became a snack. 😔 however he will still make a nice brood buck!

This triggered a few people last time I did this.. so here we go again 😉

A breeder who doesn’t cull 🚩 Culling is an extremely important part of breeding and should be a practice everyone uses. It doesn’t necessarily mean ☠️ it just means removing from a program.

A breeder who will sell anything despite noticeable faults/genetic issues 🚩 this is not bettering a breed and is just creating a crappy gene pool.

A breeder who is actively breeding rabbits with genetic faults 🚩 again, creating a crappy gene pool.

Posting photos and videos of rabbits for sale who are living in filthy cages like it’s a flex 🚩🚩

A breeder who isn’t willing to learn from others 🚩 there is no shame in wanting to lean, I have bred rabbits for 10 years and still learn something new every day.

Know your breeder and what you are getting into, there are lots of crappy breeders out there who will do anything to make a quick buck. Can you add to my list?

I have been slacking.. I realized today that the three litters I still have are going on 6 weeks old and I have yet to take pictures. 😬🙃

When I first started breeding rabbits, I never would have thought I would have sold rabbits outside of my local area. Now we officially have rabbits in 6 states! 🐇

Maybe someday we will make it to all 50🤔🌎
