Emotional stability, it doesn’t work the algorithms but it sure makes for a peaceful life! Doing normal breeder things might be triggering to others. This is me checking to make sure everything is normal with a silkie that passed away last night who was perfectly fine. I check the normal parts…Lungs, liver, gizzard, etc. This was a purchased bird from a farm that vaccinates for multiple things so tests would have shown positive anyways.
I try to look for gray looking abnormalities or tumors,
And sometimes I don’t see anything at all……

Who has been a member of the APA, ABA and ASBC for close to or over five years and working on the non standard variety mottled to exhibit? Have your mottled silkies won best or reserve nsv?

Separated some girls into my pullet pen so they can eat and be in peace away from these dang boys. Do you know which ones are boys and girls? I’ve gotten a lot better at this, I say every season as I turn and watch the boy crow in the pullet pen or a girl lay an egg in the cockerel pen 😂
