Look at these gorgeous Gala apples! 🤩🍎

We picked our last Gala apples for the market last week! These are Baigent Gala - the last-harvested strain of Gala for us - aka Brookfield Gala 🍎

This strain has bold, dark-red stripes over a solid red background, coloring earlier and more uniformly than standard Gala apples, and they are SO pretty! 🤩

These have a sweet, crisp, dense flesh with the classic mild, aromatic flavor profile of a traditional Gala 🍎 They’re available in our market now!

Other currently available apple varieties include:
🍎 Honeycrisp
🍏 Pixie Crunch
🍎 Jonathan
🍏 Ginger Gold
🍎 McIntosh
🍏 Rubens

Apple U-Pick is also open DAILY during business hours! Visit our website for info on apple picking. It’s a perfect Labor Day Weekend activity! 🍎 Entry stops at 5:30pm daily. Purchase of a bag is required to enter the orchard. Personal bags/containers are not permitted.

We will be OPEN normal business hours ALL of Labor Day Weekend, including Monday 🍎

Business Hours:
OPEN Monday-Saturday 9-6

We worked on getting next year’s strawberry plants in the ground, and we’re not done! 🍓🌱

This particular field has over 50,000 plants in it. These were plugs, which means they’re an actively growing transplant. 🌱

You may have reaped the benefits of the bare root plants that we got in the ground earlier this summer with some late strawberries! Those do not have plant material on them when planted 🍓

In this block, we planted Yambu, Galletta, Flavorfest, and Malwina varieties. Each of these serves a different purpose for us, and we’re excited to have more strawberry acreage! We’ll have over 14 acres of strawberries next year… are we insane or what? 😅

Just goes to show that just because the main harvest season for one of our crops is over, doesn’t mean it’s time to stop thinking about them! 🍓🌱

Our market is open DAILY and fully stocked with lots of fresh homegrown produce, apple cider, freshly picked apples, local honey, baked goods, and lots more. Visit us to shop local!

Apple AND flower you-pick are both open daily during business hours! Only a couple more weeks left to visit our flower fields before fall festivals begin - don’t miss out! 🌸 Entry to you-pick stops at 5:30pm daily.

Market Hours:
OPEN Monday-Saturday 9-6

We’re picking our homegrown tomatoes now, which means we also have lots of seconds/canners! 🍅🥫

We’ve been picking homegrown red tomatoes, and while many of them are perfect and beautiful, there are some that have blemishes - bruising, rain cracking, catfacing, etc. - that we cannot sell as number ones. These tomatoes are called “canners” or “seconds”, and are perfectly good for processing! 🍅🥫

Canners can be used in SO many ways: think salsas, pasta sauces, pizza sauce, pick, canning, Bloody Mary mix… the list goes on! 🍅🥫 Pair some canners with our homegrown jalapeños for the perfect homemade salsa!

Available in bulk amounts only (not sold by the lb) and available first come, first served only! 🍅🥫

Current pricing for canners:
15lb box: $18
Half bushel basket (about 25lbs): $30

Bulk amounts of number ones can also be preordered on our website, if you’re interested in those! Only 2 more Saturdays for pickups on these 🍅

Did you know that we grow jalapeños on our farm?! 🌶️🔥 We do, and they are beautiful, HUGE, and plentiful right now!

These are some of the largest jalapeños we’ve ever grown, and we’re loving the gorgeous color and incredible flavor they have! 😋

There is SUCH a difference in taste in fresh jalapeños compared to ones that have been picked, transported or stored for a long time. These are freshly picked from our fields and straight to our market! 🌶️🔥

You can use jalapeños in SO many ways: you can use them fresh in salsas and dips, stuff them to make poppers, or preserve a large harvest by pickling, candying into “cowboy candy”, or freezing!

We like to use our fresh jalapeños chopped in scrambled eggs or breakfast burritos with bell peppers and onions (also both available in our market) 🍳🫑🧅

Come in to stock up on Beasley’s-grown jalapeños and lots of other produce that we grow! 🧅🫑🌶️🥬🍓🌽🍎🍉🍈

‘Tis the season for apple pies, caramel apples, and fresh donuts! 🍎🍩

We started making fresh Dutch Apple pies this week, using our homegrown apples! One of our most popular pies of the year is finally here! Available in full and mini sizes 🥧🍎 You can preorder ANY of our seasonally available pies by calling the market - just give us 48 hours’ notice!

We also started making caramel apples this week! 🍎🤩 We’ve been asked for a few weeks when these would begin, and the time is here! Available in peanut and plain with sprinkles and potentially other specialty flavors coming soon. You can also preorder bulk amounts of caramel apples!

This month we’re making Churro donuts as the specialty - it’s a vanilla cake donut instead of apple cider, coated in cinnamon sugar! 🍩 This might be one of our favorites yet! We also have apple cider donuts available regularly!

Stop in the market to treat yourself to some apple goodies this weekend - the market is open regular business hours, rain or shine!

Apple U-Pick will open TOMORROW, 8/15! 🍎

Our apple u-pick season is officially beginning! Our first variety is ready for picking in the u-pick block: Gala 🍎

Head to the Apple U-Pick shed at the north end of the gravel parking lot to check in, buy your bag, and be directed 🍎

Our staff members at the u-pick apples shed will direct you to which varieties are ready to pick. It’s important that you ONLY pick from the apples that are ready - if you pick from varieties not marked as ready, they won’t taste good. Some varieties have over a month or more to go!

Customers must purchase a bag before entering the orchard for u-pick. Choose between a half peck ($10) or a peck ($17) bag! 🍎

🍎 Bringing your own bag/container is NOT permitted
🍎 Dogs are NOT allowed in the apple orchard
🍎 Backpacks, tote bags, trash bags, grocery bags, etc. are NOT permitted into the orchard - you will be asked to return them to your vehicle or leave them at our shed

Lots of varieties will be ready throughout the u-pick apple season as they ripen 🍎 Come out multiple times throughout the apple harvest season for different varieties!

Apple u-pick will be open during business hours, unless otherwise posted. Entry to the orchard will stop at 5:30pm daily to allow for business closing by 6pm 🍎

Tomorrow should be a great day for apple picking AND flower picking! 🍎🌸 Stop by our concession stand on the weekends to grab a slushie before heading out and to stay cool!

We have several apple varieties available in the market, too:
🍎 Paula Red
🍏 Ginger Gold
🍎 Premier Honeycrisp
🍏 Zestar!
🍎 Sweet Maia
🍏 Gala
