If you’re wanting to pick red raspberries this summer, your time is now ❣️

Our you pick raspberry field is full of ripe red raspberries right now, and they’re perfectly snackable and delicious! ❤️ These berries make an excellent healthy summer treat!

As with all you pick activities, the field is subject to close based on weather conditions, or if the fruit needs to ripen, but looking at them this morning, we have ripe red berries that need to be picked for a while! ❤️

Entry to red raspberry you-pick STOPS AT 5:30, as we close at 6:00pm daily ❣️

Strawberry you-pick update:
🍓 Fields will open at 12PM TODAY, 6/11!

🍓 The Malwina are just starting to ripen, and if weather cooperates, we hope to have really good picking in them in just a few days. Watch our page for updates!

🍓 Malwina berries can be found in the middle of the plant - not the outsides - so they require a little more “hunting”

Pre-picked strawberries AND raspberries are available in our market right now! 🍓❤️ Come stock up!

We also have homegrown broccoli, homegrown cauliflower, homegrown dill, basil, and cilantro, homegrown leafy greens, homegrown cabbage, Tennessee tomatoes, watermelon, blueberries, peaches, cantaloupe, and more! 🥦🍑🥬🫐

Surprise! Strawberry you-pick will be OPEN TOMORROW, 6/9! 🍓

We’re finding lots of ripe Yambu in our you-pick fields, so strawberry you-pick is ON for tomorrow, 6/9! We expect Malwina to ripen by the end of the week (see last pic)! 🍓

Please read below for our NEW YOU-PICK POLICY AND PRICING, effective tomorrow:

The purchase of a container will be required before heading out to the field. There are 3 container sizes to choose from: quart, bucket, or flat 🍓

Pricing:
🍓 Quart: $7.50
🍓 4-Quart Bucket: $30
🍓 8-Quart Flat: $55

All visitors aged 3 & up will be required to purchase at least a quart container. A 4-quart bucket can account for 4 people, an 8-quart flat can account for 8 people, etc., if you choose to do that 🍓

You may fill your container with berries as full as you can! There will not be refunds for partially filled containers 🍓

If the field gets picked out/there are not enough ripe berries to support you-pick on any given day, we will close the field to avoid issues 🍓

If you do not purchase a container, a field fee of $5 will apply prior to leaving on the tractor ride 🚜

You MAY reuse buckets, if you have them! If you bring your own Beasley’s bucket, you will still pay the bucket price before going out to pick 🍓

🍓 Tractor ride required to visit strawberry fields. Walking not permitted
🍓 Dogs/pets not permitted in fields where food is grown - strawberries or raspberries
🍓 Last tractor ride leaves at 5:00 daily
🍓 Bringing your own container not permitted. You must pick into one of our sold containers

As always, you-pick is subject to be opened or closed based on ripe berry availability, field conditions, and weather!

We’re excited to have another (hopefully) 2-3 weeks of strawberry you-pick! Weather plays a big role in our ability to offer it, so please call or check social media before making a trip, especially a week or 2 from now 🍓

Raspberry you-pick will be OPEN tomorrow, 6/9 ❣️

Wondering what we’ve been up to the last few days? 🚜🎃 We have to take advantage of this good weather before more rain comes!

Well, the short answer is a lot of things: working ground, harvesting crops, starting more seed in the greenhouse, moving implements down the road and back, evaluating strawberry and raspberry crops, shaping beds, planting corn, etc. BUT in these photos, we’re planting pumpkins! 🎃

We’ll be growing over 50 acres of pumpkins this year! Between the field trip fields, wholesale orders to fulfill, and our public you-pick patch, that’s how many acres we need! Well, we really need more, but we’re pretty maxed out with room 😳

In the first photo, you can see the crimper in front of the tractor rolling our cover crop (rye) down. This allows us to grow our pumpkins on a no-till field. No-till has a lot of benefits, including w**d suppression, water retention, and clean pumpkins!

Water retention is really important for us, because pumpkins are the only crop on our farm that we don’t irrigate. Our water resources have a lot of other crops to be designated to 💦

We’re growing pie pumpkins, specialty pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and white pie pumpkins this year! Almost ALL of our pumpkins fields will be grown in a no-till system this year! 🎃

These pumpkin plantings have involved a lot of long days and late nights (you may have seen me delivering dinner in the tractor the other night - pumpkin planting), but it’ll be worth it when the fall time rolls around and we’ve got all these pumpkins ready to pick! 🎃

Raspberry you-pick will be OPEN tomorrow, Friday 6/4! We have VERY limited quantities pre-picked for the market right now.

Strawberry you-pick is CLOSED until our late variety ripens. Looking like about another week or so on that. We do have pre-picked strawberries in the market! 🍓

Come see us for homegrown lettuce, kale, bok choy, broccoli, cauliflower, FL watermelons, GA cantaloupe, SC blueberries, IN asparagus and rhubarb, and more! 🍉🫐🍅🥦🥬🍈

Planting more cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower! 🥦🥬

If you’ve been watching our updates and posts, then you know we started picking our homegrown cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower this week! 🥦🥬 We’re picking from our first planting… while simultaneously planting more!

A couple of days ago, we planted more cabbage (green and red), cauliflower, and broccoli - including a new variety we are trialing that is supposed to be more heat resistant than our standard one! 🥦🥬 We’re hoping that helps it make it through the hot summer!

This is our 2nd planting of cabbage, and our 5th and 6th plantings of broccoli and cauliflower. We did two at the same time of the latter due to us being very behind with planting as a result of too much rain. We had plants ready for 2+ weeks in the greenhouse, but couldn’t get in the field. Yes, this will cause issues at harvest time - we’ll too much ready at once. That’s where our customers come in! 🥦

Why fewer cabbage plantings than broccoli and cauliflower? More maturity slots to choose from with cabbage makes it easier to layer a single planting to mature at different times. Cabbage also holds very well in the field (2 or more weeks), where broccoli and cauliflower do not.

Come in to our market now for FRESHLY PICKED broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage, grown right here on our farm 🥦🥬

For those that read my posts in entirety - thank you; it takes a long time to put these together and we try to get as much info out as possible. Those that read this far get a head start on everyone else for our next you-pick: red raspberries! Raspberry you-pick will begin tomorrow, 6/2 ❤️ Open 9am-5:30pm. We do not yet have red raspberries in the market.

Strawberry you-pick is CLOSED until our later variety ripens. We will have limited quantities in the market pre-picked.

It’s time for homegrown broccoli and cauliflower! 🥦

Did you know that we also grow broccoli and cauliflower?! We’re growing LOTS of different crops this year, and we just started picking these two yesterday! How GORGEOUS are these?! 🥦

Broccoli is a nutritional powerhouse packed with vitamins and fiber, and can help support immune function and promote heart health 🥦

Cauliflower also has a lot of health benefits and is a great side dish! Just one cup of raw cauliflower contains over 75% of your daily vitamin C needs and is rich in fiber, antioxidants, and choline. Have you ever tried Buffalo cauliflower? 😋🍗 YUM!

We also have homegrown leafy greens, cabbage, kohlrabi, bok choy, dill, cilantro, limited strawberries, and more! 🥬🥦 There is a lot more produce to come throughout the summer too, we’re just getting started!

Strawberry you-pick is CLOSED unless otherwise stated in a post or story. We will have some available pre-picked in the market! 🍓 Our Malwina crop should ripen in about 1.5 weeks and you-pick will reopen then - be on the lookout for that announcement. Raspberry you-pick will begin sometime this week!

Guess what we finally got planted today?! 🤩 (hint: you might recognize these seeds)

Our first of two sunflower plantings is now complete! 🌻 It’s been a long waiting game for the field to be dry enough to plant into, but we finally made it to that point!

We planted the first 2.5 acres today - 2 different blends with a total of 6 varieties/colors 🌻 We will plant the second planting in about a week for a total of about 5 acres of sunflowers to come this summer!

Expected bloom is around mid-late July, and the sunflowers should last for 3-4 weeks total between the two plantings 🌻

Our cut flower field of zinnias, celosia, snapdragons, cosmos, and gomphrena will be ready earlier, around late June, and will continue for longer than the sunflowers too. But the sunflower field will be a nice “pop” in the middle of flower season! 🌻🌸🌼🪻

Strawberry you-pick update: the fields will be OPEN for you-pick tomorrow, Sunday, 5/31. We expect this to be the LAST DAY for strawberry picking until our late variety, Malwina, ripens in about 1.5-2 weeks 🍓 We open at 12pm on Sundays!

We also expect the pickings to be slim, and for the strawberry field to be out-picked after a few hours. If you’re wanting a better picking experience with more ripe berries to choose from, we recommend waiting for the Malwina to be ready 🍓

Our market is OPEN Sundays 12-6pm and we have a ton of homegrown produce available: cauliflower, cabbage, leafy greens, kohlrabi, bok choy, broccoli will be picked tomorrow for the first time, and more! 🥦🥬🍑🍅🍉
