Last call on anyone looking for a breeding boar! We plan on castrating June 17th. Please let us know before that if you would want a purebred Meishan boar. We also have 5 gilts left in this litter as well.

Breeding pair available. We decided to downsize on how many breeders we have in our future plans for our farm. Sow is Meishan Preservation Gengi (2 years old in October) and Boar is Firefly Homestead Zeus (10 months old). They are both very docile and great around people. Gengi just had a litter of 18 piglets on May 31st, this was her second litter. Will be available in early to mid August. Located in DeGraff, Ohio.

We got a count on how many boys/girls Gengi have! We have 6 girls and 8 boys. If anyone is looking for a boar, please get with us soon. We plan on having the boars become barrows on June 13th. We are excited to announce Gengi had 16 healthy babies this morning! Aren’t they the cutest?! We don’t have a boy/girl count yet, but will get that later after they all settle in!

How amazing are these pigs? Our 3 year old is giving her snacks. G is due to have piglets in a little over a week. I have had pigs before and im just amazed on how personable these guys are. We are so glad we found this breed.

Hope everyone had a great Easter! Wanted to get the news out that we are expecting a litter around May 11th! Meishan Preservation Gengi is doing great and getting bigger. If anyone is looking for some gilts, barrows, or boars, let us know. She is paired up with Firefly Homestead Zeus. Stay tuned for updates once she farrows!

Edit- last call for one of these boars. They have been growing quickly and are looking great here the last couple months. We cannot have two, that are brothers, so one of them is scheduled for castration this coming Friday the 24th. Let us know soon if you are interested in these genetics! I can send new pictures if interested. We don’t want someone to miss out if they are looking for a boar.

We have a boar looking for new pastures. He is registered with the AMBA, and his name is New Grounds Farm Piggy Smalls. He is going on 9 months old. Ready for breeding now! If you or anyone you know are looking for some new genetics, reach out with any questions. Located in De Graff, Ohio.

Looking to donate one or two of our Pure Bred Meishan piglets to a couple 4H kids in our community, Logan County or surrounding counties. If you, or anyone you know have a child in 4H that would love to learn about this wonderful breed. Please reach out soon. They were born in December, but are a little slower growing than standard commercial breeds making them a great candidate for upcoming fairs in July or August this year!
Some quick history on the Meishan breed; they are an ancient Chinese breed whose history spans over 5,000 years. Also known for extreme prolificacy and fat, flavorful meat, and are extremely docile. Meishans were imported to the US in 1989 for research. Here is a link to more information below about Meishans.
