We put the salad bar unit in this evening to see how everything would fit and to see what all we had room to offer. Since we had everything ready we would go ahead and do a soft opening tonight. We don’t have it all set up online yet but you can come in to The Moose and try it out.

Prices are $9.99 1 trip
$13.99 all you can eat

Add on to a meal will be $7.99 1 trip
$9.99 all you can eat.

Salads are homemade as well as our croutons. So so good!!!

We will also be open for lunch with salad bar starting tomorrow at 11. From 11-2

Sampling some recipes tonight for homemade croutons. I think we got Moose and Murphy’s approval. They love sampling new items for The Moose

You would never know by looking at these pictures that our sweet Murphy, the golden suffered several seizures this morning. Dog Epilepsy and Lyme are such terrible diseases but we will keep fighting for this precious rescue. We have all grown pretty attached to him, especially Moose. Moose won’t leave his side until the seizures are over and can normally tell when he is about to have one. They are best buds.

Plan is to start the Salad Bar this Friday at 11.

Check out are new outdoor tables that Nick is working on. Definitely going to give the outside a whole new look. Resin has to dry and cure good then with will assemble them and replace the old ones.

Ok, so we are hoping to start the Salad Bar this Friday at 11am if we can get everything ready and added to our POS System.

We have some questions for all of you.

1. Do you want to have it for only lunch or would you like to see it offered in the evenings as well?

2. We will be offering it as a Togo item as well where you can come in and make it up and leave. Do we need to offer this option in two sizes?

3. Would like to have to option of ordering online with the items you want and we have it ready for you so you don’t have to wait?

4. Lunch menu is going to be very limited. Would you rather have option of pizza by the slice or personal pizza?

5. What dressings would you like to see? We can do up to 6 in Salad Bar unit. We are thinking Italian, Ranch, French, Thousand Island, Poppy Seed, and Caesar’s.

6. Is there an interest to by the pasta salads, potato salad, etc by the pound? We didn’t know since Massingill’s was gone if there would be a need for that as well. We plan on making all our salads homemade.

For lunch we are going to keep the menu light-salad, pizza by slice or personal, breadsticks, spaghetti, & crustless pizza unless several think there is a need for something else. We plan to add soup to the salad bar this fall if it goes well and we continue it all year long.

We have been asked to possible offer a pizza buffet as well. We might entertain offering that on Monday nights if there is enough interest.

Please share your thoughts and this post. We know we can’t please everyone but would like to offer what majority wants.

Perfect evening for one of our open baked sandwiches and a cheesecake cup. If you haven’t tried our Cheesecake Cups, you definitely need to. Our Cheesecake is homemade and comes in several different combinations.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day Weekend!!!

You asked for us to extend our Sunday hours so we have decided to give it a shot. We will be open from 4-9 tonight and we will also be Memorial Day from 4:30-9.

We will be adding lunch hours soon with our limited menu and SALAD BAR. Stay tuned for future updates.

Well it looks like our Salad Bar post got your attention. We have gotten an overwhelming response from people wanting it. I wish every post got this much attention. Lol We will be purchasing a salad bar cabinet, making room, adding staff, and additional hours.

We had a comment by a customer hoping that everyone that has commented on what they think is a great idea utilizes it. I get their concerns and I appreciate their input. We have concerns as well, as there will be a lot of additional expenses-staff, salad bar unit, additional utilities, costly produce they will go bad quick, just to name a few. However, we always try to think out of the box and try to fill in the gaps that aren’t being offered in town. As a business owner you are always taking risks. It’s like going to Vegas and rolling the dice everyday.

With that being said, what would you like to see on a Salad Bar?

Mixed greens or iceberg lettuce
Cheese
Red onion
Green Peppers
Cucumbers
Tomatoes
Ham
Bacon
Shredded cheese
Banana peppers
Olives
Homemade croutons
Homemade Italian pasta salad
Homemade bacon ranch pasta salad
Homemade macaroni salad
Cottage cheese

We hope to have this up and going the 1st of June.

We have been asked by several customers to open for lunch. We have tried before and it just wasn’t feasible. We are thinking about trying it again and only offering a limited menu. Personally I love a good salad bar. So we are thinking about offering a limited menu with an unlimited trip salad bar, personal pizzas, breadsticks, and pasta.

What are your thoughts? Do you think Delphi needs another option for lunch and if so what would you like to see us offer?
