We are a USDA Inspected Processing Facility owned by 9 Colorado ranch families that offers custom processing of beef, lamb, and pork with a retail store located in Delta, CO. All of our families came to Colorado’s North Fork Valley before 1900. Homestead Meats is the premier USDA Inspected Custom Processing Facility in Western Colorado. At Colorado Homestead Ranches, we pride ourselves in having complete control of the entire production process. This traceability, from our ranches to the consumer, ensures that we produce the highest quality meat products. Beef Halves and Quarters from Colorado Homestead Ranches comprise all of these features: economical, convenient, healthful, and high quality. We create a low-stress environment in which cattle thrive. This is precisely how we can naturally raise the high quality livestock that we do.

Western Colorado Burger Roll Call

It’s National Hamburger Day, and we think a good burger says a lot about a person.

Some keep it classic with Rocking W cheese.
Some add bacon because, obviously.
Some go all in with green chile.
Some want grilled onions, pickles, and a little sauce.
And some believe the beef should do the talking... salt, pepper, flame, done.

However you build it, the best burgers start with quality beef and good local fixings.

So today, we’re celebrating the backyard grillers, the cast iron cooks, the “just one more slice of cheese” people, and everyone who knows that Hamburger Day is worth doing right.

Happy National Hamburger Day from Homestead.

And if you’re firing up burgers today, we’d love to hear what kind of burger person you are.

Meals for Minds is made stronger by people who believe in feeding both students and community.

A sincere thank you to Ross and Miriam LeValley, part of the Homestead family, for their generous beef donation to support Delta County School District 50J students.
