Certain flavors of Gatorade (orange and lemon-lime) have been recalled due to the presence of undeclared food dyes.
“According to the FDA, the recall was initiated Sept. 25 and the federal agency classified the recall on Oct. 2 as a Class II recall, meaning exposure to or the consumption of the recalled Gatorade drinks "may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences…”.”
So, consumption of food dyes can have adverse health consequences. Hmmm, I thought food dyes were “safe”? 🤔
More than 122,000 cases of Gatorade are being recalled due to undeclared food dyes, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
