Apparently a buyer who got a few rabbits from me several years ago, uses the LTR name, regularly (per this customer and a couple others), to try and convince folks to buy her rabbits. Even though she is keeping a bunch of them on the ground 🤦🏼‍♀️ and is crossing them with other breeds... For what purpose I don't know. I, *especially* after I got my own lines established and growing super quick, did not ever crossbreed my different breeds ever again (except Sweet Pea that once.... iykyk 🤦🏼‍♀️). Because I would rather sell them as what they are, not crosses, if I can at all help it. As for Sweet Pea.... She's just gonna have to learn to like Rocket 😂

Throwback to June 2025; we named this growout "YEET" because I've never been (or since) headbutted by a rabbit until him. He was, like Roland (his dad), the king of death-naps. I have an Amazon list I keep of items I use, and others may want to have knowledge of or keep on hand for their meat breeding project. Some of them may be cheaper from other sources, BUT there's a reason I added them to the list. I recommend them enough I thought it pertinent to add to the list. And/or that's the cheapest for the item quantity, like papaya. A pet owner might not need 5 pounds of papaya chunks 😂

The commercial TAMUK line (yes, the white ones) is the original heat tolerant meat rabbits produced by Texas A&M Univ. of Kingsville. They don't disappoint!
Each time (before recently 🙃) I've considered offloading them, I compare their production vs some of my other breeds, and I just couldn't imagine justification in discontinuing them.

Obviously we can't control if they do or don't breed well, but considering I'm more than willing to put the full reputation of Liberty Tree Rabbitry behind these meat breeders... I'm just sayin' 😉

WE'RE STILL CLOSED so I can recover from my surgery, *but* I figured y'all deserved an update:
Flapjack and Erik are doing an amazing job of taking care of me (I always say Flappyboy is a 🏆 pro-level 🏆 cuddler!), and I'm getting incrementally better by the day. I'm so *not* used to being the cared for, not the carer.
This second (and last) surgery was sooo much rougher (on me, but also Erik 😅) than the first one, so I'm really glad I said I was gonna take 2 weeks off. I definitely need them. Believe it or not, willpower isn't quite enough to overcome ~everything~ I want it to 😝

I should be getting back into the swing of things pretty soon. I can't DO much, *but*, I can probably start scheduling visits, for next week, here in the next few days. Just waiting for my head to stop swimming. I'll be back on top of everything soonish, I'm sure.
Thanks for your patience, y'all. You really are the best customers a crazy rabbit gal could hope for ☺️
