Peaches came to visit Lavender Dawn Farms Store!

This sweet girl enjoyed her visit and, of course, couldn’t leave without taking home lots of lavender goodies!

The 1st of MANY trays of lavender starts!

It’s always exciting to see the season end with these tiny plugs knowing they’ll soon grow into beautiful, healthy lavender plants ready to go home with you!

We’ll have lots of varieties to choose from, so if you’ve been dreaming of adding lavender to your garden, May will be here before we know it!

A Second Lavender Bloom!

Our lavender usually gives us a second bloom near the end of summer and into fall. These blooms are typically smaller, with shorter stems, and not nearly as full as our first harvest.
But this year… WOW!

We have some beautiful, tall, full lavender blooms showing off for their second round, and I just had to share them with you!

Sometimes the second bloom surprises you—and this year, our lavender decided to put on a show.

Lavender Dawn Farms will be at Mixed Greens in downtown Boise for First Thursday!

Well… that wasn’t on today’s to-do list!
Woke up to a tree across the driveway!
The girls and I grabbed the chainsaw, put our muscles to work, and got it cleared out.

That’s a wrap on lavender harvesting & distilling!

After weeks of distilling lavender, our copper still definitely needs some love. We use a citric acid wash to remove the buildup and get everything sparkling clean and ready for the next season.

And the best part? We’re cooling down! Tomorrow is shaping up to be the perfect day to wander through the market, shop local, and support some of Emmett’s most talented farmers, makers, and artists.
