Putting summer away for later

This weekend was spent making sauce, frying eggplant, and filling the freezer for the winter months.
Even got to use up some of the sourdough breadcrumbs I had tucked away.

Feels good getting some of what we grew put away to enjoy later.

Last of the corn 🌽

We picked what will be our last corn of the season — so once it’s gone, that’s it for us this year!

We also have Green Zebra tomatoes out at the stands. If you’ve never had one before, don’t let the color fool you — they’re supposed to be green when they’re ripe! As they ripen, they turn more yellow-green while keeping those darker green “zebra” stripes. They have a really good sweet-tart, slightly tangy flavor and are great sliced up or added to a salad.

Both stands are restocked with corn, tomatoes, peaches, squash & more.

We’ve got both stands stocked with sweet corn, tomatoes and green beans — all picked right here at Woody Acres.

Our second location is officially into its first week, so if you’re headed down South County Trail, stop in and check it out!

Taco Tuesday got bumped this week.

We were busy in the garden and dinner needed to be quick and simple. A basket of tomatoes went into the oven with garlic and fresh basil, oregano & parsley while we kept picking.

A little while later — roasted tomato sauce, pasta, ricotta and dinner was done.

And don’t worry — plenty made it past our kitchen. The farm stand will be stocked!

A little something new for Woody Acres!

We spent the morning cleaning and setting up at 503 S County Trail in Exeter, and we're officially open!

We're keeping things simple while we get settled in, so there will be a limited selection of produce available here for now. We have plenty of ideas for the space and are excited to see what we can turn it into.

Our stand on School Land Woods Road is still open and will continue to be stocked as usual.

If you're in the area, stop by and grab some fresh-picked sweet corn and veggies!

The sweet corn is looking GOOD, and we’ve got plenty coming out of the field!Grown right here at Woody Acres with no herbicides or pesticides used Just fresh, locally grown sweet corn straight from our field.

Whether you’re grabbing a few ears for dinner or need corn by the dozens, we’ve got you covered.

And a little PSA to our fellow local farms, farm stands, restaurants & businesses — we’re happy to fill larger corn orders, too! Shoot us a message if you’re interested.

You’ll find fresh-picked corn at the stand daily while the season lasts.
