It’s that time of year when the chickens need a break from egg production. It’s okay, they have been providing eggs for multiple families. No worries, we have backup eggs.

Second cutting of some good quality Coastal/Bermuda/Jigs Hay. Sprayed and fertilized. Cut 10/7 and Baled on 10/10. Good for horses, cows, goats…anything with hooves. We will keep enough for our livestock and will sell the rest. $8/square bale. Also have 5x6 round bales available from first cut $75/round bale. Will sell in single bales or bulk. Comet is so low key, calm and gentle. She literally craves human interaction.

Out of curiosity I wanted to see if she would take a halter without fighting. To our amazement, she didn’t flinch an inch. As long as she was able to lick on us, she couldn’t care less what we put on her.

I’m excited to breed her with a super chill bull with hopes of her throwing a gentle bull-calf.

Anyone have a gentle TLBAA Bull they’re willing discuss? She needs a few more months before she’s ready. We’re looking to have her bred ~June, 2027.

You can’t prepare for winter soon enough.
Today, it’s the annual Fall Trough Clean-out.
Our minnows have been happily eating all mosquitos, their larvae, and any other brave victim that lands on the water. Although, these precious little minnows do help with the algae buildup, with the trough being located on the west side, the pond dye makes their job a little easier. We call them the “The Expendables”. Their job is small, but their impact is mighty!
