This year our flush babies blew us out of the water with their quality. I wish I could have anyone that may question this to see this guy in person. He’s props with ease, and does all the work for you. Put a kid that wants to win on this one, and see the results! He opens up with a clean, wide chest floor and stands perfectly square on all fours with excellent structural integrity. This wether is impressively big-ribbed, offering a massive spring of rib and great body capacity. He is exceptionally big-topped, showcasing a big loin shape that carries heavy muscle and a hard handle from front to back, making him a premier contender for the grand drive.

How much better could this industry be if more people remembered what this was really supposed to be about?

Because yes, we all want to win.
We want the banners.
The buckles.
The backdrop pictures.
The validation that the hard work paid off.

But at the end of the day, the greatest thing this industry produces was never meant to be livestock.

It’s people.

Young people who learn responsibility before most adults do.
Who learn how to lose gracefully.
How to work when they’re tired.
How to care for something besides themselves.
How to shake hands.
How to be humble.
How to keep showing up.

And the truth is, if we sacrifice those things in the pursuit of winning… then we missed the point completely.

The best stock show families aren’t just building champions in the ring. They’re building good humans outside of it too. 💙
