The mission of Friends of Laughing Buck Farm Nonprofit: creating a healthier and happier community through equine-assisted therapy and farm-based learning, where horses, farming and nature are accessible to all.

We are a small farm but I believe we are making a big impact. Here's what one of our Adaptive Riding students had to share.

Friendly reminder that the weather is changing- Fall and winter bring cold, sometimes wet, and sometimes windy days.

We are an ALL WEATHER learning farm- so unless it is unsafe weather-wise to be at the farm or an instructor is sick without a substitute, we DO NOT cancel class, we move to ground lessons, for all riding classes. Ground classes are extremely valuable for our students, as riding is only a very small portion of the whole realm of horsemanship and Farm stewardship. We build grit here in our students, and we level up our clothing for the weather.

Appropriate weather wear includes: checking weather apps, bringing backup coats, gloves, hats, socks, mud boots, rain jackets etc. Our instructors are dressed well for sometimes a full outside day of teaching, the horses grow a thick winter coat and also get supplemental horse coats if the weather is wet or very cold, and even instructor Rachel's Red Dog has a jacket! ❤️

Come prepared! We are ready to enjoy FALL 🍂 🍁
