🇺🇸 Happy 251st Birthday, U.S. Army! 🇺🇸
Today we celebrate the men and women who have served our nation with honor, courage, and commitment.
I was proud to serve 20 years as a Military Police Senior NCO Office working in corrections. It wasn’t always easy, but it gave me lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a deep appreciation for service.
Now these days, I trade my Army boots for farm boots, and I can honestly say farm life is a whole lot easier! 🚜🌱
Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve. Army Strong. Always. 🇺🇸 June 14, 1775 – June 14, 2026 🇺🇸

Okra season is almost here! 🌱
In the next week or so, fresh organic okra will be making its return to our farmers market stands. Whether you love it fried, grilled, roasted, pickled, or added to gumbo, now is the time to start planning your favorite summer recipes!

So many people ask us, “Why are your strawberries so small?” 🍓
Maybe the better question is… why are the other berries so big? At Lucero Organic Farms, we grow our Seascape strawberries for quality, not quantity. We grow them the same way you would in your own backyard garden — just on a much larger scale. We don’t overwater them to make them oversized, and we only fertilize when the plants truly need it. The result? Smaller berries packed with flavor, sweetness, and that old-fashioned strawberry taste so many people remember from childhood. Sometimes smaller really does mean better. ❤️🍓

Huge shout out to The Working Class Band 1.0 for kicking off Music on the Farm with a bang! 🎶🔥 We are beyond grateful for our amazing community and all of your continued support. Seeing families, friends, and neighbors come together on the farm is what makes these nights so special.
A special thank you to all of our vendors for being part of the evening! It made us so happy to see so many people supporting local businesses. Locals supporting locals — that’s what small towns like ours are all about. ❤️🌾
We can’t wait to do it all again next month with Vices to Virtues Wednesday, June 24th 6-8pm @ Lucero Organic Farms!

The weather will be cool for once, so we’ll have the fire pits going, lawn games out, and a perfect evening on the farm waiting for you. Enjoy dinner, dessert, and coffee from GG’s Pizza, Ole Reliable, and Henhouse Coffee Co. while listening to live music under the evening sky.

As a veteran-owned farm, Memorial Day carries an extra special meaning for us. 🇺🇸
Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for the freedoms we enjoy every day. We would not have the opportunity to steward the land we love, raise our families, and serve our community without them.
So many I served with are now also gone, and it saddens me deeply. Memorial Day is not just a holiday — it is a reminder of the sacrifices made by so many heroes and the families who continue to carry that loss.
God bless our military, those who have served, those currently serving, and the families who stand beside them through it all. You are in our prayers today and always. ❤️🤍💙

Andy’s leadership and vision have helped make history for local agriculture and Northern California’s regional foodshed. On September 16, 2025, Agricultural Institute of Marin and the County of Marin finalized a 40-year lease agreement to establish the Center for Food and Agriculture (CFA).
This incredible milestone lays the foundation for what so many of us have dreamed about: a vibrant, climate-smart home for the Marin Farmers Market and a Food Innovation Hub that will support farmers, producers, chefs, and the community for generations to come.
The County recently announced a $2.5 million challenge grant, and now we have the opportunity to help bring this vision to life.
