So what do you do when you have too much burdock around?
You dig it up and make it work.
We pressure washed the roots to clean the dirt off. Worked great.
Chopped in slices and have some soaking in 90 proof for tinciture and some in dehydrater for tea. Will put some in oil to work in my salve and see what else we can do.

Did some more work in the brooder. Made a shelf/desk for me to organize papers when meat birds are processed and ready for sale. Made a better wall for the meat bird side as we will need the chickens crates when we send out for processing. 🤪😂

Today I put up some fencing so I could take down the plastic. Now the meat birds can see the quails and air can flow freely. Reclaimed materials except the fencing and staples. Even screws were left over from years ago before Bill met me.

Between yesterday afternoon with my son and this afternoon by myself, I was able to construct a wall out of pallets and an old screen door for getting back and forth to the other side.
Tomorrow I hope to put up fencing on the bottom of the pallets and more on the upper parts. More pics tomorrow if I can get it done. Then the plastic will come done and it will be one open space feeling. 😁

We worked hard today. Bill got the rest of the hay he cut down raked and baled and I helped with catching the bales on the trailer and helping him get all the bales in the barn. About 85 in total so far for part 1 of cut 1. Still have about 3/4’s of the large field to cut and bale. Will be doing more next week if forecast looks good.
The ride was too bumpy and wagon too much motion for me to stack them neatly. 😂🤪😝
