Compete for top dog in our 5K race or take it easy in our 1-mile fun run. Put your paws to the pavement and then head over to the TAILgate after party for food, drinks, music and more all while raising awareness for the Purple Leash Project.

🎩 DRESS CODE | Dress to impress OR come casual! We encourage guests to come comfortable for walking around the indoor space as well as interacting with adoptable cats and dogs (if they choose to). As we are celebrating our 100-year anniversary, dressing in your favorite decade is encouraged, but not required!

🐾 PETS | 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘴, 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘛𝘪𝘦 𝘎𝘢𝘭𝘢 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘵-𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘺 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵. We ask that all participants please leave their pets at home. HOWEVER, you might just leave with a new best friend! Adoptable pets will be available at this event from 10+ participating local animal rescue.

🍇 FOOD | Guests with General Admission and Premium Admission tickets can both enjoy unlimited heavy hors d’oeuvres and unlimited soft drinks. A cash bar will also be available.

🍷 WINE TASTING | Guests with Premium Admission tickets will receive an event wine glass and a wine tasting passport good for 9 tastings and 1 full glass of wine from 5 local wineries. Guests 21+ with General Admission OR Premium Admission can purchase additional wine tasting passports at the bar.

🎫 AUCTION | All guests will be invited to use GiveSmart, a browser-based program to monitor and bid on silent auction items. QR Codes and mobile texting sign up will be available onsite, please be ready to enter your credit card information before placing a bid. Our silent auction will be open from 5PM - 7:45PM. We also encourage guests to bring cash!

What started as a working farm dedicated to advancing animal feed, the property has evolved into a pet friendly destination that celebrates Purina’s heritage and century long commitment to science‑based nutrition and animal care.

As we honor the generations of researchers, farmers, caretakers, and employees who shaped our story, we also look toward an exciting future, one where Purina Farms continues to inspire, educate, and create lasting experiences for pets and their people. Here's to the next 100 years!

The inaugural Incredible Dog Challenge, the premier canine performance sports competition, was hosted at Purina Farms in 1998, testing canine speed, agility, and athleticism. What began as a bold experiment quickly grew into one of the most recognized canine sporting competitions in the world.

Today, the tradition continues, with the nation’s top canine athletes descending upon Purina Farms each fall for the National Finals of the Incredible Dog Challenge to showcase the incredible bond between people and pets.
