Today wasn’t one of the good days as a rancher. Most days this life is a dream. Hard work, no question—but a dream we dreamt as a family and are so blessed to now be living. Today we lost a calf. Our hearts our heavy, we’re second guessing, replaying it over again. All while knowing we did everything we could. Knowing we had to intervene or we could have lost both the calf and the sweet mama, Rosie. We mourn the life lost of the sweet bull calf but now have to turn our focus to Rosie who sustained an injury during labor. She’s not out of the woods, but we’re following our veterinarians instructions and praying she will soon be on the other side of this and fully recovered. Thankful for this life but definitely ending the day with a heavy heart.

The love of a mother is something so special. A love so deep, so pure, so selfless. Today we celebrate all the moms be they human friends or barnyard friends. We hope you know how loved and cherished you are!

This cutie, sweet, mini highland/hereford bull calf cross will be up for sale this spring! Message us if you have any interest! Genetics will be sent off here in the next few weeks but guessing he got his sire’s micro gene! Dang why are these bull calves always the cutest?!
