🌿 The farm store will be open this weekend, and we’d love to see you. 🌿

It’s shaping up to be a beautiful weekend to get out of the house, enjoy some fresh country air, and spend a little time at the farm.

Our hours this weekend will be:

🕙 Saturday: 10–2 (we’ll be closing early for a family wedding) 💍
🕙 Sunday: 10–4
🕑 Monday: 2–6

The shelves will be stocked with homemade baked goods, fresh jelly, handmade items, and produce picked right from the garden.

🍞 Fresh baked breads, muffins, cookies, and other goodies
🍓 Homemade jellies made in small batches
🧵 Handmade sewn and crafted items
🥒 Fresh garden produce as it’s ready to harvest

And of course, don’t forget to spend a little time with the animals while you’re here. The goats always enjoy visitors, the chickens are busy as ever, and there’s something about farm life that just makes you slow down and smile.

Whether you’re stopping by for a loaf of bread, a jar of jelly, fresh vegetables for supper, or simply a peaceful afternoon at the farm, we’d love to visit with you.

Come stay awhile. The porch is always friendly, and there’s plenty of farm life to enjoy. 🤍

Took mom for a day outing….

After a couple long weeks and feeling out of sorts, it just seemed a long drive and aimless adventure was needed.

We drove up to Wye Mountain Farm, LLC to pick berries, I wanted blueberries but we got a late start and ended up with a few blackberries.

As I drove we talked about the past and visiting my family on the mountain when I was a kid. Talked about when she met my dad and they lived on Lake Maumelle.

We strolled the farm, enjoyed the sun, caught our breath and just took in the day. I’m going back for blueberries though 😂😂

We got a farm tour passport and plan to visit other farms on it as we can. You know I want some stamps. 😂🫣 I know one I’ll be hitting very soon. Salt Box Farm 😘 don’t worry I’m coming and don’t know why I didn’t get a passport when we picked strawberries. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sometimes, you just need to admit you need to clear your head. Farming is hard. Work is hard. Life is hard. Grief is hard. There’s no reason to make it harder by fighting it all the time.

Now, back to doing the work thing around here 😂😂 and game plan the rest of this week’s projects.

This morning the garden was electric with buzzing….

Bees of every shape and size were doing the vary thing people sometimes forget….

Carrying the essence of life…

I’ve always been mesmerized by bees, having a garden makes it that much easier to enjoy them.

As I was squatted down picking squash and zucchini, a dozen flew around me—landing on my hands as I worked, being bumped from flowers, this giant fat bumblebee seemed to follow me from plant to plant…..

I was so grateful she let me take her picture with all that pollen on her.

I also was able to pick 3 tomatoes with so many more growing. I can’t wait to see what this season holds.

While walking back from the garden, I found one sweet bee that had died….laying in the road. She’s perfect….i want to keep her as she is. 🥹

Anyways, that’s the morning so far 😂😂

On my trip to the garden this morning I had to count my blessings thrice….

Lol, I know you’re thinking that’s not a real number, but let me show you.

1) my garden is growing beautifully and is abundant

2) I’m doing what I love, finding peace in hard work and being fulfilled in my life

3) the air was electric with the sound of bees….

As I picked squash and zucchini, bees of all shapes, sizes and kinds were busy working.

It was magical. So yes thrice is real and I use it appropriately.

Last night I was able to pick some things from the garden!!!!

So I will have a very small amount of fresh picked yellow squash, zucchini and just a couple peppers in the store today.

I’m so excited to see all the tomatoes coming onto the vines and I have just a couple starting to blush. 🥰

I love this season.

Being able to see things feeding my family and more that came from a seed I planted…..there is just no way to describe that.

Store is open today and tomorrow 10-4 and Monday I’ll be open 2-6

As the garden starts producing more I may have pop up days as well. 🥰
