One more week until The Werks Market! 🌼 Here are all of our wonderful participants this spring. We are so grateful for each one of you who help us make this event possible! 🌺

When: 6/25 4-7pm
Where: Gardenwerks; 3225 Cooney Drive
Parking: Continue past the entrance of Gardenwerks & head to Shades of Green
What: A whole lot of music, fun, & community building

We will be raffling off a flower pot @ 6pm & raising funds for the 100% of proceeds will be donated. Tickets can be purchased in the garden center until 5:45pm; winner but be present.

Calf Count Update! The bulls are really pulling ahead… pretty sure this happened last year too and the heifer calves still won out in end😆

What do you think! Will we have more boys or girls this year? We are about 2/3 of the way through our calving season.

The Calf Count continues and the bull calves are coming on strong!

Do remember this litter of pigs from February? Well, swipe through and look at them now! Getting big - over 3 months old now and, believe it or not, they weigh around 70 lbs.

They have been in an enclosed pen near the pig barn while they get some size on them. But they will be out on pasture next week where they will continue to grow and develop for harvest later this year.

Before their move out to the field, they will also make an appearance next week at Jim Darcy’s Elementary School Ag Days! We love partnering with the school to make expose the students to the Ag industry 🐽

TWINS! We had a set of twin girls the other day - it’s always exciting to get a set of multiples!

But, there is more to this story…

Unfortunately, the very next day another cow lost her calf while calving.

But fortunately, we were able to graft one of the twins on to that cow, AND she accepted it😅

And don’t worry, the twin mom was not bothered a bit by having just one calf to take care of. Twins can be extra hard on a cow to ensure that each calf is getting enough milk, so this is the great outcome for each of the calves and the cows!
