Timber Ridge Longhorns is a culmination of over 25 years of dreams in the TL business. We strive to offer functional, high end cattle to our customers.

We are located in central Illinois and implement a strategically designed intensive grazing program that allows our cattle to be grazing on the most nutritious forages that our area has to offer. At Timber Ridge our cattle have 24/7 access to Purina Wind & Rain Avail 4 with Altosid mineral tubs and Purina Accuration protein tubs. This combination of minerals and protein keeps our cattle happy and

healthy out on pastures where God designed cattle to be. Give us a call if you would like to learn more about our management practices. We are becoming more involved every year in futurities across the country. We have even just begun our halter show careers as our 2 daughters will soon be of age to compete. Longhorn owners at the futurities have been the best we have come across in the industry and we are sure that halter shows will be the same. It is always like a homecoming when we attend these futurities and get to see our Longhorn family. 🥩 Timber Ridge Longhorns Beef Bundles Available! 🥩

We have several 1/4 beef bundles available this year from Timber Ridge Longhorns! Our first processing produced approximately 110 lbs of home-raised, naturally lean Longhorn beef per bundle, including a variety of premium steaks, roasts, brisket, short ribs, and ground beef.

Update** We have 1 bundle left.
We currently have 3 bundles available, with additional bundles expected later this year.

The house was originally supposed to be delivered this past week, but honestly, we're glad it wasn't.

Between tornado warnings, severe storms, and Level 5 wind advisories, it has been quite the week of weather. Being a little behind schedule may have been a blessing, keeping the house from having to travel and sit through all of that.

It's exciting to see the walkout basement walls up, the windows and door openings framed out, and the beautiful poured concrete floors completed.

We're hoping for an uneventful week of weather and an oversized load coming down the road soon!

Of course, as cattle farmers who practice rotational grazing and pasture management, we can't complain too much about the rain. After mowing pastures and putting down some seed, the moisture is exactly what those fields needed.

Sometimes the things that slow one project down are helping another grow. 🌱🏡🐂

Focusing on the CRP pasture that opened up in September. We're finally able to start tackling the bramble bushes and preparing the ground for some really exciting pasture mixes Jonathan has been working on.

We've also teamed up with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to improve our grazing practices through pasture rotation, silvopasture management, and other conservation efforts.

And honestly, my favorite part is seeing our kids out here with us. They're learning that nice things take work, that land needs to be cared for, and that there's value in knowing how to do things yourself. Those are lessons that can't be bought, and we're grateful they're getting to learn them firsthand. ❤️🌱🐂🌳

Of course Katelyn’s calf came out with a Nike swoosh on her “socks” 😂✔️

This brand new little heifer out of TR Queen’s Gun and by RL Black Market apparently already knows she belongs to an competitive little lady.

Naturally, Katelyn immediately wanted to name her TR Nike Pro… but before we accidentally upset the trademark police 😅 we figured we should probably brainstorm some alternatives.

Sweet little heifer calf out of TR Wild Iron by TR Ridge Runner. Based off her calving date, she was covered during a break-in with a certain young bull named TR Ridge Runner. She was put in with him back in November for an August/September calf, confirmed bred, we just didn’t know how much of a confirmed bred. We started to see her bagging up last month.
Went and checked on her after the crazy storm.
Sweet to see her bring her calf up to the run-in. Now to come up with a fun name. Wild lightning, Wild Deal, Wild Run....her half sister by RL Black Marker is Wild Night, but it could have fit this heifer perfectly as well!! so many possibilities. Any ideas?
