Jauer Dependable Genetics At JDG our program is build around this philosophy. We require our cattle to be low birth, cost efficient, performance cattle with strong maternal traits.

Welcome to Jauer Dependable Genetics. Our goal is to be your source for maternally efficient, forage-effective, real world Angus genetics. Our breeding program utilizes moderately framed cattle that thrive in grass and forage environments. We have applied this philosophy over the past 40 years to produce a highly efficient, “bovine factory” can be mated a variety of ways - to produce the type of c

alf that fits directly into your program. Our typical customer base includes seed-stock breeders, club-calf breeders, breeders that cross our cattle with outside breeds to make F-1 females and bulls, as well as commercial producers and grass-beef finishers. The adaptability our cattle offer to each of these different sectors of the beef industry is what sets our program apart from our competition.

The champion foundation simmy heifer in the open show at the Iowa State Fair is a descendant of the great Jauer 3121 Double Image cow. The heifer was shown by Dalton Lukasky.
They also showed a fall born heifer descendant of 3121 at the American Royal in Kansas City that came in at reserve champion.
This was brought to my attention by Tim Reimer who sold Ruby’s the 324A cow that these heifers go back too.
Pretty cool to see these old school genetics come back to the top and still work today.

This is the last group to AI this year. It’s been hot but everyone sweated it out and we managed to get through it. The cows seem to cycle well when it’s hot but not sure on conception in this heat. We will see, we definitely tried our best.
