Glad I took the week off to get caught up on farm projects. Due to work travel and lots of rain, the weeds almost won the war before the battle even began. Potato bags have really taken off this year!

Our new signs arrived! The arena is getting a chert road put in this week and next due to rain, and is almost ready to open to the public!

The rain has made my garden very happy! Downside is that the weeds are even happier!

Moved the chicks to their own coop in Liam’s pasture. He is always so happy when he gets new babies!

They have a couple months to go before they will be allowed to run amuck with the whole flock.

Cleaning out the worm bins. It’s amazing that they turned horse manure into black gold in just a few
months!

Preparing the pumpkin patch the same as last year since it worked so well 🎃

Place cardboard and surround with old horse manure and straw. Add rich soil in the middle and rings of semi- finished compost on the outside. As the compost breaks down, it keeps down the weeds and feeds the plants for the season.

The honeysuckle has started blooming early this year and you know what that means… honeysuckle jelly! We also have a good showing of wild blackberry blossoms.
