I’ve been getting so many happy messages lately! Especially from classrooms hatching chicks and honestly that’s what this is all about for me. Not the money (that’s why I try to keep my eggs affordable)… just people getting to experience the excitement of hatching and raising chicks.

I’m a sucker for a good speckled egg 🤎✨

This beauty was laid by my Silverudd hen and bred to my Black Copper Marans rooster and while this egg is stunning, just wait until you see what her babies will do 👀🐣

This cross creates Olive Eggers, meaning their future eggs won’t look like this one…instead you can expect a range of gorgeous shades like deep olive, sage, and sometimes darker tones with speckles mixed in. No two will be exactly the same, and that’s half the fun 💚

That rich brown from the Marans paired with the blue/green genetics from the Silverudd makes for some seriously unique egg baskets down the road 🥚🌿

Beautiful now… but even more exciting later 🤍
