What an unforgettable week at the Fowlerville Family Fair / Fowlerville Agricultural Society! 💙🎡🐔 Here’s a photo dump of just a few of the amazing memories we made during our second year at the fair.
Finley took 1st place in the poultry costume contest with his turkey, and the two of them were dressed as Army soldiers. My mom and him had so much fun putting that together! Thank you Charlene Gawronski ❤️
River had the opportunity to show her friend Rosie’s pig in the Pee-Wee division. A huge thank you to Maple View Family Farm for letting her be part of the experience and for mentoring our family through another fair season. River loved helping wash the pigs, practicing how to walk them, and learning so much along the way.
One of the most incredible moments of the week was getting to witness a baby goat being born. It was something the kids and I will never forget!
We packed so much into one week… Kids Day, dancing, face painting, tie-dye, the foam bubble party, carnival rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, and, of course, maybe a little too much fair food (if that’s even possible! 😉).
Behind the scenes, there were long days filled with walking, waiting, feeding animals, cleaning pens, sweeping, and caring for our birds. But those are the moments that teach responsibility, hard work, and dedication.
We also made so many wonderful memories with friends, family, and all the amazing people who make fair week so special. A heartfelt thank you to the countless volunteers, fair board members, superintendents, judges, and workers who spend so much time behind the scenes making this incredible week possible. Your hard work and dedication create an experience our family looks forward to every year.
The kids were incredibly proud to auction their market animals. Finley sold his market turkeys, and River and Tucker each sold their Cornish Cross chickens. They also auctioned their still-life projects…River’s blueberry muffins, Finley’s wood duck box, and Tucker’s birdhouse. They are very happy to have money to put toward next years projects!
To everyone who purchased an animal or project, thank you. Your support means more than you know. Watching these young exhibitors work hard all year and then seeing the community rally behind them is truly emotional. I definitely had tears in my eyes seeing the kindness, encouragement, and excitement surrounding these kids.
Fair week, year two, is officially in the books. Every year we learn a little more, grow a little more, and make memories we’ll cherish forever. Watching these kids gain confidence, responsibility, and a love for agriculture has been the greatest reward of all.
Until next year, Fowlerville Fair! ❤️🌾
