With this new moon on May 16th we get to experience a “True Dark” phase. Because the moon is completely invisible this is the best time for night sky photography, specifically the Milky Way.

With zero lunar light to compete with, the galaxy finally has the stage to itself!

At Mars Landing, there’s a shift that happens just after the sun disappears. It’s that rare window in time where the desert heat breaks, and the house and the pool start to mirror the sky.

Sometimes, we are lucky enough to whiteness the magic of the deserts blue hour and how it seems to soften the edges.

Being here for three moments allows us to see the Cocoon experience exactly as our guests do. It’s a perspective we’re so grateful to share.

Yesterday we spent Earth Day at and were quickly reminded of how lucky we are to share the magic and beauty of the Mojave Desert with all of you.

It seemed only fitting to find ourselves on the grounds of a passive home property for the occasion - quiet reminder of what it means to live in rhythm with the land rather than against it.
