Jeff decided to get a side hustle and go drive a beet truck for a local farmer so what do i do??? Prepare for winter. I bought a really big bag of potatoes at the Boise goat show and knew if i didn't do something with them they would go bad. Got mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, hash browns and a few others processed. Also got lots of salsa and vegetables put in the freezer. It can snow deep this year! I dont need to go anywhere.

Shelby had me worried. She started looking like she could be going at any minute from about 7:30 last night. I wasnt too worried because no water had broke or anything she was just super uncomfortable and was looking like she was pushing but nothing happening. Finally about 11:20 she started making the grunting pushing sounds. I grabbed my molasses water from the mud room and headed out. When I got to barn the bubble was out with a full head in it. I got my fingers behind shoulder blades and she slid right out. 11:25. Helped dry her off a bit and went into my she shed to watch on the monitor and give her time to check out #1. Saw her sit and thought I saw something so I ran back in and #2 was laying on the ground shaking her head.11:30. I am so happy with this birth and these girl. Shelby was a show doe and went to most shows and ate show feed all the way through her term. She is at day 150 so I was expecting larger babies. They are perfect! Not sure how many times I have actually checked to make sure they really are girls.
