Our sweet Liko. 💚🐐

We’ve been quiet about this for a few days because sometimes your heart needs a little time before you can find the words.

On Sunday, we said goodbye to our beautiful baby girl, Liko.

She wasn’t with us nearly long enough, but in the short time she was here, she became such a special part of our little Mulkey Farms ʻohana. She was curious, sweet, a little sassy, and so incredibly easy to love.

She made it through Hurricane Lala alongside ʻŌhiʻa and Lehua, all three tucked safely into their makeshift shelter in our garage. In the days afterward, Liko stopped eating and wasn’t doing well. Sadly, our little girl passed peacefully here at home.

Adam laid her to rest right here on the farm. 🌿

And there’s comfort in knowing she’ll always be here—the same place she ran and played, got cuddled and kissed, wore her pretty little flower, and probably ate a few things she wasn’t supposed to. 💚

Farm life brings so much joy, but it also reminds us just how precious our time with these animals really is.

Liko was here.
She was ours.
She was loved.
And she mattered.

No matter how short her time with us was, this beautiful little girl left her mark on our farm and on our hearts.

A hui hou, sweet Liko. 🌈🐐🌿

We love you, baby girl. 💚

Happy National Dog Day to Mulkey Farms’ hardest-working employee…allegedly. 😂🐾

Mahina’s official job title: Head of Security.
Her actual job: just here for the snacks. 🥥😂

She keeps watch over the farm, the market table, and apparently every coconut within reach. 💚

What’s your dog’s unofficial job title? 👇🏽🐶

Moke is on the horizon, so once again — e makaʻala. 🌺

Prepare what you can. Check in with your people. Check on your kūpuna and neighbors.

And kākoʻo when and where you can. ❤️

We just came through Lala, and some of our communities are still recovering. No panic — just prepare, mālama each other, and stay informed.

Mākaʻala. Mālama. Kākoʻo.

Stay safe, Hawaiʻi. 🤙🏽

From Puna to Kaʻū, with aloha. 🌺

As our island continues recovering from Hurricane Lala, our hearts remain especially with our ʻohana in Kaʻū and the communities that experienced devastating impacts.

Recovery doesn’t end when the storm passes. In the days and weeks ahead, may we continue showing up for one another — sharing resources, supporting local families and businesses, and giving kōkua wherever we can.

From our little farm in Puna to our neighbors in Kaʻū, we send our aloha, our prayers, and our continued support.

One island. One community. ❤️

Me ke aloha,

🐣 The youngest members of the Mulkey Farms ʻohana have arrived!

Mama has been faithfully sitting on her eggs near the goats, and today we went out to visit and noticed…no Mama and no eggs. 👀

Then we found her — with her brand-new babies. 🥹❤️

Just another little surprise from life on the farm. 🌱🐐🐣

Welcome to the ʻohana, little ones! 🤎

🌺 A little aloha from the farm today.

One of my favorite parts of living here is taking a slow walk around the property. Every day, something new is blooming. The hibiscus are showing off, the ginger is reaching for the sky, and the ti leaves add so much color to the landscape.

Not everything on a farm has to be productive. Sometimes the greatest gift is simply the beauty that reminds us to slow down, breathe, and appreciate where we are.

🐐 A big welcome to the newest members of the Mulkey Farms ʻohana! 🤎🌿

Meet ʻŌhiʻa, Lehua, and Liko!

These three officially spent their first full day at Mulkey Farms, exploring their new pasture, getting acquainted with their shelter, and making themselves right at home.

Like everything else on our farm, we’re learning as we go. Adam has been working hard to build them a safe place to call home, and we’ll keep improving it one project at a time.

One of our favorite moments today came just before sunset. An ʻio soared over the farm and perched nearby while the goats settled in. We stood quietly watching as it later flew from a koa to an ʻōhiʻa tree before disappearing into the forest. It was simply one of those beautiful moments that reminded us how special life on Hawaiʻi Island can be.

We’re excited to share this new chapter with all of you.

🐐 P.S. Once everyone has had time to settle in and build trust, we’re hoping to offer some goat cuddles here at the farm. Stay tuned! 🤎
