A Little Life Update…
I know I’ve been pretty quiet on YouTube lately, so I wanted to let y’all know what’s been going on.
First, after an incredible career, I officially retired from the Lafayette Fire Department in January 2026. It was a bittersweet chapter to close, but I’m grateful for every moment and every brother and sister I served alongside.
Not long after that, I headed to Canada to compete for a chance to earn an apron on MasterChef Global Gauntlet. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it into the competition, but what an amazing experience! I’m still cheering on all of the talented contestants and wish them nothing but the best.
Life has also been busy in the best ways. We’ve enjoyed some much-needed family time, beach time, celebrated a family wedding, welcomed a new boxer puppy into the family, played a good bit of golf, and, if I’m being honest, not nearly as much fishing as I’d like! 🎣⛳
Another reason you’ve seen less content is because I no longer have my fire station “studio.” The good news? I’m building my very own kitchen studio! It’s taking a little time, but it’s going to be worth the wait.
If all goes as planned, I should be back behind the camera in just a few months—and I’ve got some big ideas. I’m not quite ready to spill the beans yet, but trust me… things are about to get exciting. We’re going to do things a little differently, and I can’t wait to share it all with y’all.
Before that, I’ll be in Colorado this September cooking for the IAFF Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial, one of the most meaningful events of the year for me. After that, it’s full steam ahead.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support Captain Coby by watching the old videos, ordering our seasonings, and asking when I’ll be back. Your encouragement means more than you know.
Stay tuned… the next few months are going to fly by, and I think you’re going to like what’s coming.
God bless, and I’ll see y’all real soon! 🇺🇸🔥⚜️
