To our cherished Meduseld fans,
We are writing to share that we will be closing our Lancaster location on the weekend of the Summer Solstice, June 21st. We are incredibly grateful for the memories, toasts, and community we’ve built together in our Mead Hall over the years. ❤
While closing this chapter of our Saga is bittersweet, it marks the beginning of an incredible evolution. We are shifting our business model to streamline our operations and integrate the absolute best aspects of Meduseld into our Artifice Ales & Mead location in Manheim. We view this transition phase as temporary; while we are actively searching for another suitable tasting room location for the future, we are using this moment to blend our unique strengths into one powerhouse destination. The Solstice is the perfect time to harness energy for this shifting of our business model. 🌞
By merging forces with our Artifice location, we are attempting to create the ultimate community hub. You will get the full Meduseld experience—including our mead, unmatched atmosphere, and axe throwing—paired with the fantastic craft beer and food lineup at Artifice. Here is what you can look forward to at our unified Manheim location:
🪓Axe Throwing & Leagues: We will continue hosting our passionate community of league throwers we've worked hard to cultivate, and large group (20+ people) events in Manheim with the exact same high energy you know and love. Open house nights for throwing will be regular occurrences, and people using our Artifice Event Room will have the option of adding throwing for their parties.
😎The Atmosphere: We are blending the legendary vibes of Meduseld with the welcoming spirit of Artifice to create a space you won't want to leave. Come check out the dog-friendly outdoor dining space we have here in Manheim!
🍻The Mead: We will still be producing your draft favorites, but we're renewing our efforts on creating some of the higher alcohol Meads that you've been asking for. You won't want to miss out on these small batch bottle releases...IYKYK!!!
Please join us for one last pour and celebrate our time in Lancaster before we officially close those doors on June 21st. After that, stay tuned to our Meduseld Meadery socials for updates on our temporary transition, league schedules, and our active search for a new future tasting room. Your gift cards will remain redeemable at our Manheim location for mead and large group axe throwing packages.
