⚘ 2026 CSA SIGN-UPS ARE OPEN! ⚘
https://www.oddcropfarm.com/csa Odd Crop Farm was started by two friends who met at another veggie farm. We grow over 180 varieties of heirloom vegetables, flowers and herbs. For us, it’s all about growing high-quality food without chemicals, feeding our neighbors, and producing at a scale that doesn’t take advantage of workers. Besides our initial tilling, everything we do is hand-tended, health-driven, and flavor focused.

We have been busy throwing in as many cold hardy plants as we can. Building out low tunnels for so many future plants (the first being our hot crops!!). And getting ready for the spring flip into even warmer weather.

Yesterday morning there was a frost covering our greenhouse and fields. Our main propagation house remains unheated — but with proper planning, many layers of remay, and roll up sides — we’ve been managing well. So ready for warmer nights ahead !

Last year’s greenhouse was literally popping at the ~seams~ with plants! Thankfully this year we have double the space and room to grow.

We’ve done the math and there’s over:
-22 tomato varieties
-18 pepper varieties
-around 6 eggplant varieties for our more sensitive guys.

For us, we’ve always taken the long road and the higher cost point by investing in organic seeds and certified organic compost.

Frankly, it costs more to do, and takes a lot more time but we believe in the slow care of a place and the food we grow.

Soon enough we'll be back to so many fresh, crisp, sweet greens! Ugh, can't wait.

Every year when March hits, the desperation for some fresh greens really starts to build. Now that it's April, we are itchin' for all this spring goodness.

It may be snowing right now. But we've already caught the excitement of spring, and are excited for this growing season.

Our greenhouse is filling up, low tunnels are going up, and we can't wait for all the good food, flowers, herbs, and natural dye plants to come.

Everything we grow at Odd Crop is done organically/regeneratively and without chemicals. We believe in the slow process of building up soil health for future wealth.

Interested in joining us this season? Our CSA still has a few spots available. Pickup locations include Sherburne, Morrisville, Hamilton, Oneida, West Eaton, Lebanon (on farm), Cazenovia, Manlius, Syracuse and Utica.

We are feeling this spring energy ~baby~ 🌱✨💚🌳🏞️🥦🥕 and rolling with the up-down weather.

One of our low tunnels that we took down last season and hauled two hours back is now up!! Thank you Craigslist.

It feels incredibly nice this time of year to clean up, get to the projects you had planned for last season but never got to, and to be prepping for the year ahead.

Hello! We’ve officially launched our 2026 CSA sign-ups.

We’re so excited for our second season in South Lebanon, and to continue to slowly build out the farm. We regeneratively grow food without chemicals, and are working with the land to build up the soil and surrounding ecosystem health.

Join us for the Full Season (June-October), Summer (June-September), or Fall (September-October). Pick which works best for you. Share sizes include Small (4-6 items/weekly), Large (7-9 items/weekly) and Flex (4 items/biweekly).

We’ve worked hard to make slow grown food for everyone — so we’re using Sliding Scale Pricing, payment plans, and are offering a few Community Sponsored Shares. We will always be the farmers to deliver food to anyone who reaches out to us. We didn’t get into this work for the profits.

For more information click on the link below. CSA shares can be picked up every Thursday at the farm in Lebanon, or one of our Pickup Sites in: Hamilton, Sherburne, West Eaton, Manlius, Morrisville, Oneida, Cazenovia or additional places if enough interest is built.

Thank you to all that supported us last year! We really can’t say how much it has meant. Cheers to the next.

Hello from winter break! We are slowly creeping back onto socials after a very snow heavy and cold winter. It hit for our last two weeks of CSA and has been piling on ever since.

But lucky for us — after three years of full time living in a camper! We have scored housing this winter and have been having so many sweet times by a wood stove. Wow, it’s a lot more restful when a hot shower can happen any time!

Honestly tho, do farmers ever really rest? We’ve still been pretty busy these few months, but are getting excited for the upcoming season. Sweet details to share soon! Maybe early next week!

So thanks for being here. Thanks for all the support. Oh, and f**k ice!

Some beautiful mustard greens we picked yesterday under a row cover — that was covered in about three inches of snow. Luckily the sun was out a bit, as we harvested for our last week of CSA shares 🌿

15 weeks later and we made it to the finish line. Thank you to the 30ish CSA members we had for this first season. Truly, we cant say it enough!! Thank you for joining us on the ride of starting this farm. Just two local folks beginning at a new location without any infrastructure, and growing lots of food out of what used to be 50 year old hayfields. Thank you for being so excited for the future alongside us. The kind words, photos of your meals and extra exclamation point texts about our food gave us the kick to keep going.

We are tired, we are grateful, and more so inspired for next year. Virginia and I are actively working on future happenings for the farm — it ain’t over till the ground freezes. Greenhouse drag show is not a dream, but a must.

We’ll be sharing more details directly with our current members in the coming weeks. And then will be opening up our 2026 CSA sign ups to the public.

Week 13 of our CSA shares! 2 more weeks to go 💐🥕

It started snowing lightly this morning as we were washing and packing shares. Pieces of snow sticking to the greenhouse, hands aching with the cold water feeling even colder at this time of year. We’re so grateful to everyone who signed up for our first year of CSA and eveeeen more excited for next years offerings.

Shout out to pals and mentors for the autumn frost! Wouldn’t be here farming today if I hadn’t landed at their place years ago.

The days are shorter, and colder, and gray — so here comes the classic — love on your fresh greens when you can post.

We’re currently harvesting beautiful mini tatsoi wheels, spinach, salad and other greens for our last tomorrow! Thank you for joining us for our first season on this wild ride.

And if you’re looking for other FRESH FRESH pretty greens or other veggies check out our neighbor vendors — cause we’re all hauling it every day of every season to make this food dream happen.

Thanks y’all 💚
