E. coli in the Arkansas River tested well above safe levels after a 4.2 million-gallon untreated sewage spill in Pueblo, tests by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment on Thursday and Friday showed.

Samples collected several miles downstream of the Pueblo Wastewater Facility recorded over 2,400 colony-forming units (CFU) per 100 mL, above the 100 CFU/100mL considered safe to swim. Upstream, tests showed levels of 64 CFU/100mL on Thursday and 28 on Friday. 🔗 Read more: https://buff.ly/DIfXGDc

I will have just 3 calves available for the rest of this year! 2 in the beginning of November from a red angus bull, 1 the middle of December from a black angus bull. All from my jersey girls! They will be with mom the first week of their life then they will be looking for new homes 🙂 I’ll be taking deposits now for them! Those who have bought calves from us know that they are the top of the line. I do take $100 off a calf with deposits down too 🤭

URGENT: The USDA has recalled nearly 30,000 pounds of beef, warning of “serious adverse health consequences or death.”

The recalled beef was shipped to stores in Texas and Florida and imported from Argentina by the Trump administration in their effort to undercut American ranchers and the price of U.S. beef.

The impacted products were sold under the “FrigorIfico Gorina SAIC” brand and include: “Top Sirloin Butt” (“Cuadril Sin Tapa”), “Eye Round” (“Peceto”), “Topside Cap Off” (“Nalga AD S/Tapa”), “Flat” (“Carnaza Cuadrada”), and “Knuckle” (“Bola de Lomo”).

The USDA is urging consumers to check their freezers and not consume these products, saying they “should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.”
