🌈 This week felt like Mother Nature showing off. 🌞

A rainbow lingered behind the orchard after a passing storm, reminding us that beauty often follows a little rain. Fresh pea shoots made their way from garden to table, while strawberry season officially burst into full swing with flats of ruby-red sweetness headed out the door.

The baby peaches are growing bigger by the day, tucked among sun-soaked branches, and deep in the woods, wildflowers continue their quiet bloom for anyone willing to slow down and look. The Swiss chard is thriving and getting ready for market, its colorful stems glowing like stained glass in the summer sun. And perhaps hardest to believe of all—our baby hens are already looking less like chicks and more like the farm girls they’ll soon become.

As we celebrate the Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year—it’s hard not to feel grateful for this season of abundance. The solstice has been honored for thousands of years as a time of growth, light, fertility, and connection to the land. Here on the farm, it marks the moment when months of planning, planting, and hoping begin turning into harvest.

From tiny blossoms to baskets of berries, from seedlings to future laying hens, this week was a reminder that growth rarely happens overnight—but it always comes.
