Calling all bibliophiles, b**r and cocktail lovers! Thursday, October 15, is our bi-monthly Blind Date with a Book Swap at the Phoenix.

Grab your pre-loved favorite (or not-so-favorite) books and bring them to the swap!

Books can be dropped off between 3 pm and 6:00 pm with the official swap starting at 6:15 pm in the b**r garden. (Of course, if the weather is uncooperative we will move indoors. ) We will have a few activities while you wait or you can always grab one of our board games and a beverage.

How can you participate:
1. Gather up books you think others might be interested in.
2. Wrap each book to hide the cover and title and add a label with a few descriptive words and clues about the book.
3. Information should include:
----- Genre: mystery, romance, sci-fi, etc.
------Descriptive Words: A few short phrases like "time-warp,"thrilling," "heartwarming," "funny," "fast-paced" and "touching".
------Get creative with the descriptions to make them fun and engaging without revealing any spoilers.
------ Target Audience: Intended audience, Think age or interests and a
-------S**t Rating: O=No S**t at all, X- a little spice, XX -Spicy, ###-Extra Spicy.

For each book you bring you will receive a ticket to use during the swap. Book selection order is by random draw. When your ticket is called it will be your turn to pick out a book.

Need wrapping paper or a label? We'll have some extra available, but only on a first come-first served. (And it is probably-definitely-Christmas paper.

Feel free to include bookmarks, tea bags or other items hidden in your wrapping. Make the book a whole experience!

Oh so many new frens, and licks, wags, and cuddles!

Can we just give a HUGE shout out to the Humane Society of Richland County, their amazing team of volunteers, our incredible staff, and the generous COMMUNITY that showed up on a slightly gray, but perfect temperature morning to walk a .5K, drink b**r, and eat donuts?

We are so grateful for everyone who showed up for one of Richland County's busiest non-profits. Their team came out in force after an already exhausting week and they showed up with smiles and nothing but happiness.

We are honored they chose to host their .5k here. And to stand beside the other community sponsors! We are so grateful for everyone who came out to cheer everyone on and support them!

WELCOME TO CAMP TAP-A-LOT! 16 Fall B**rs. 4 Blind Flights. 1 Grand Champion.

Join us on Saturday, October 17, at 1 pm, to sample some of our favorite Fall b**rs! Camp Tap-A-Lot is a blind tasting event with Fall b**rs from 16 different Ohio breweries.

You will rotate through 4 tasting stations sorted by Fall style, pick your favorite b**r at each one, vote and then receive a final flight to determine the best Fall b**r.

No labels. No peeking! Just your taste buds deciding who moves on. We’ll share who is participating, just not which b**r until you pick a winner.

Participating breweries include Seventh Son, Jackie O’s, Great Lakes, Three Tigers, Four Paws/Red Wagon, Forbidden Root, Uniontown, 8th Day, and more!

What do you get:
-5 flights- 4 preliminary flights and one final round

SINGO BINGO: Where music lovers and bingo fans collide.

Singo Bingo mashes up your favorite songs with the classic thrill of bingo for a high-energy, sing-hum-tap your feet-along, can’t-miss night in the taproom. If you love music, trivia, or yelling triumphantly in public, this Tuesday is perfect for you. Singo Bingo repeats every first Tuesday of the month, so put it on repeat in your calendar!

Dear Friends,

We could use your help. Today we are releasing our award-winning Mary Jane Chai Baltic Porter. And once again, we find ourselves in a bit of a sticky situation. Please allow us to clear up any confusion: our Mary Jane is NOT brewed with cannabis.

W**d love it if you could help clear up this rumor being passed around. Mary J is a bold Imperial Baltic Porter with a high ABV of 9% and a smooth mellow blend of spices including cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, clove, and allspice, but no herb.

We doobie-lieve we can get the truth hashed out with your help. It will definitely be a joint effort, and hopefully not too much of a strain.

This does open up the opportunity to share some nuggets of information about alcohol manufacturing. The TTB strictly forbids the manufacture of alcohol products combined with federally illegal substances. So, to be blunt, we won’t be making a w**d b**r. We can re**er you to the legalese.

Mary Jane was inspired by the local legend of the same name and received a bronze medal for Imperial Stouts and Porters in the 2018 Ohio Craft Brewers Cup. We also brew a dank, super hazy, kushy, double IPA, with notes of pineapple and peach, called the Haze for Dayz, which will be returning to taps next week, on October 7.

It's a two-fer today with 5th Tuesday Bonus Trivia and the release of OCBA's 2026 Ohio Pint Day Glassware.

Stop by the Phoenix taproom on Tuesday, September 29, starting at 3 pm to add a limited 2026 Ohio Pint Day Glass to your collection but stick around for Movie & TV Trivia at 6:30 pm.

These limited glasses are beautiful with metallic gold accents and designed by Ali Drozdowicz, owner and artist at Quenched & Tempered Brewing Co. in Toledo, Ohio.

Grab a pint and the glass for $10. Get the glass by itself for $6, or get one free with a $50 purchase.

Ohio Pint Day is a fundraiser that directly supports the mission of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association: to promote, preserve, diversify, and unify Ohio’s craft brewing industry.

From the Ohio Craft Brewers Association:
Craft b**r enthusiasts are invited to purchase a limited-edition collectible pint glass available exclusively at the participating brewery taprooms. In partnership with OCBA member breweries and Boelter Beverage, $1 from every glass will be donated to the OCBA.

Ohio On Tap brewery passport app users will also be able to collect a bonus stamp by purchasing the glass. Users will be able to submit manual stamp request selfies with their glass from Sept. 29 to Oct. 4 to receive the stamp.
