🚨 RIGHT NOW: You can support the place that keeps local agriculture alive through Idaho Gives — and we’re making it worth your while.

The Boise Farmers Market isn’t just where we sell — it’s what makes it possible for farms like ours to show up week after week. It creates the space, the consistency, and the community that local farms rely on to survive and grow.

🍅 Here’s the deal:
Donate to the Boise Farmers Market through Idaho Gives TODAY:

Then:

Take a screenshot of your donation
Send it to us in a direct message with your name + contact info
👉 You’ll be entered to win a FULL CASE OF TRUE ROOTS HEIRLOOM TOMATOES at peak season this summer.

These are the tomatoes people wait all year for — grown right here, picked at peak ripeness, and packed with real flavor.

đź’Ą Why this matters:
Your donation doesn’t go to one farm — it strengthens the entire market that supports local growers, small food businesses, and the full community built around it — all while keeping a true farmer-first, producer-only space alive.

When the market is strong, farms have a reliable place to sell, customers have access to real food, and the entire ecosystem around the market continues to thrive.

If you’ve ever shopped the market, talked with a farmer, grabbed something to eat, or made it part of your routine — this is your chance to support the system behind it.

⏳ Idaho Gives is happening NOW. Don’t wait.

Donate. Send your screenshot. Get entered. Be part of keeping this going.

Story time.

In 2013, True Roots came into being. Initially, Ian and I thought our first step into farming would be joining an internship at Rice Farms to learn from Lee. The year prior, we had worked for another farm at the Boise Farmers Market, and we were struck by the quality, care, and presentation that Rice Farms brought each week.

The following season, we reached out to Lee. Instead of an internship, he encouraged us to start our own farm. We took that seriously. Within two days, we had a name, True Roots, and we stepped into something much bigger than we had planned. We leased Lee’s land, his equipment, and began building from the ground up.

From the very beginning, Lee and Grace poured into us. Grace taught me everything she knew about the greenhouse. Lee guided us through the rest and helped integrate us into the Boise Farmers Market community.

The photo we are sharing here is from those first days. Lee and Grace took that picture of us planting our very first seeds as True Roots. It marks the beginning of everything for us.

Lee and Grace have helped launch and shape not just our farm, but many farms across this community. Their impact on local agriculture runs deep.

Their work has shaped this market and the farmers within it, including us.

A few years ago, when we experienced extreme crop loss, this same Vendor Support Fund helped bring our farm back to life. We would not be where we are today without it.

This spring, Lee and Grace have lost a significant portion of their greenhouse plants. Now they are the ones who need that same support.

The Vendor Support Fund is active, and this is a moment for our community to step forward. Every contribution matters.

You can donate through the Boise Farmers Market website.

Let’s show up for the people who have spent years showing up for all of us!

You can still find us on the Drive Thru—we’ve listed everything we have available, including eggs. Head online to shop our products along with offerings from other vendors!
