๐Ÿ‹๐ŸŒฟ Lemon Balm Tea: Sunshine in a Cup! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ‹

One sniff of lemon balm and youโ€™ll understand why so many gardeners love growing it!

๐Ÿต Fun Facts About Lemon Balm Tea:

๐Ÿ‹ Lemon balm is a member of the mint family.

๐Ÿ‹ It is naturally caffeine-free.

๐Ÿ‹ The leaves give off a fresh lemony scent when rubbed between your fingers.

๐Ÿ‹ Despite its citrus aroma, lemon balm contains no actual lemon.

๐Ÿ‹ Bees absolutely love lemon balm flowers, which is how the plant earned its scientific name, Melissa, meaning โ€œhoney bee.โ€

๐Ÿ‹ Lemon balm grows vigorously and often returns year after year in Minnesota gardens.

๐Ÿ‹ The leaves can be enjoyed on their own or blended with herbs like spearmint, raspberry leaf, lavender, and red clover.

๐Ÿ‹ Freshly harvested leaves have the strongest lemon fragrance and flavor.

๐Ÿƒ Raspberry Leaf Tea: More Than Just Raspberries! ๐Ÿƒ

When most people think of raspberries, they think of the sweet berries. But the leaves have been enjoyed as an herbal tea for generations!

๐Ÿต Fun Facts About Raspberry Leaf Tea:

๐Ÿƒ Raspberry leaf tea is made from the leaves of the raspberry plant, not the fruit.

๐Ÿƒ It is naturally caffeine-free.

๐Ÿƒ The tea has a mild, earthy flavor with subtle fruity notes.

๐Ÿƒ Raspberry plants are members of the rose family.

๐Ÿƒ The leaves are typically harvested while they are healthy and green, then dried for tea.

๐Ÿƒ Raspberry leaf blends well with spearmint, lemon balm, red clover, and lavender.

๐Ÿƒ Wild and cultivated raspberry plants can be found throughout Minnesota.

๐Ÿƒ Herbal tea lovers have enjoyed raspberry leaf tea for centuries as part of traditional herbal practices.

๐ŸŒผ Yarrow Tea: One of Natureโ€™s Oldest Herbs! ๐ŸŒผ

Did you know yarrow has been used for centuries and can be found growing wild throughout Minnesota?

๐Ÿต Fun Facts About Yarrow Tea:

๐ŸŒผ Yarrow is made from the leaves and flowers of the yarrow plant.

๐ŸŒผ It is naturally caffeine-free.

๐ŸŒผ Yarrow belongs to the daisy family, even though its flower clusters look very different from a traditional daisy.

๐ŸŒผ The feathery leaves are one reason yarrow is easy to identify in the wild.

๐ŸŒผ Pollinators love yarrow! Bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects are often attracted to its flowers.

๐ŸŒผ Yarrow has a slightly earthy, floral flavor that many herbal tea lovers enjoy on its own or blended with other herbs.

๐ŸŒผ It is a hardy perennial that returns year after year and thrives in a variety of growing conditions.

Have you spotted wild yarrow growing around Minnesota this summer? ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒธ Red Clover Tea: A Tiny Flower with a Big History! ๐ŸŒธ

Did you know that red clover flowers arenโ€™t just pretty? Theyโ€™ve been used in herbal teas for generations!

๐Ÿต Fun Facts About Red Clover Tea:

๐ŸŒธ Made from the blossoms of red clover (Trifolium pratense), not the leaves.

๐ŸŒธ Naturally caffeine-free, making it a great evening tea option.

๐ŸŒธ Red clover contains plant compounds called isoflavones, which are sometimes called โ€œphytoestrogensโ€ because they have estrogen-like properties in the body.

๐ŸŒธ Traditionally used by herbalists to support skin health and overall wellness.

๐ŸŒธ Has a mild, slightly sweet flavor that blends well with raspberry leaf, lemon balm, spearmint, and lavender.

๐ŸŒธ A favorite wildflower of bees and other pollinators. One patch of red clover can be buzzing with activity on a summer day!

Have you ever tried red clover tea? Whatโ€™s your favorite herbal tea from the garden? ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’œ
