Four of our students attended Advocacy Day at the Indiana Statehouse. We had the opportunity to hear remarks from Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith and ISDA Director Don Lamb, meet with Representative Culp, and learn how to continue advocating for the agriculture industry in our community. It was a great day advocating and witnessing our government leaders in action.

Our members had a great day competing at Area 9 Forestry and Crops Career Development Events! These contests challenge students’ knowledge of insects, trees, crops, plant ID, and real-world agricultural skills. We are proud of how these members represented our chapter!

We are very proud of Katy Westerhouse for placing 3rd overall and advancing to State Forestry on December 13th!

Members identified tree leaves, woods, diseases, and forestry equipment while applying technical forestry knowledge.
