Another pairing that happened this week!

Amores Farm M Luna Belle
x
Hidden Hills Juniper

I think these will be the most anticipated kids we've ever had. 😆 This pairing is an over 13% line breeding, with the largest portion of that being the one and only Algedi Farm CK Kinetic Riptide! I think the highest we've done before this is like 3%, so this is certainly new territory lol.

Luna herself is such a well put together and wide doe with the strongest feet and legs of any goat I've owned. Juniper has already proven himself with a number of gorgeous junior kids, which makes this even more exciting!

This will be her third freshening, but her first here. The first doeling will retained...and maybe the second... but all others will be available! Thinking pink!!

This pairing happened yesterday! Hopefully she takes this time.

Bella Rossa Estate Lux Nova
x
Merrytale SS The Joker

I am beyond excited to see Nova as a second freshener. She has so many strengths as just a young doe and catches my eye every time I am in the barn. Unfortunately, she just didn't quite have the capacity to compete this year as a FF, but the parts are there for her to become something really special. I think the incredible does behind Joker should really pair well with her!

Her reservations are open and blue eyes are a guarantee! She is due March 4th.

Our first confirmed pairing of the season!

I was hoping to have most of the herd confirmed (or about to be confirmed) pregnant by now, but of course goats don't allow plans to be followed. 🤪 So kidding season is going to have does due all over the place lol.

Oh a brighter note, this pairing has be so excited! Ginger's doelings from this year were stunning and I am even more excited about the incredible buck she is bred to this year! One doeling will be retained, but all other kids available. She is due December 26th.

Violet Ridge RF Goldielocks

I’ve taken way too many pictures of this girl, but when you only retain two kids, it’s hard not to lol! I think she’s turning out pretty good though! Her dam just got bred today and does have a few reservations open. 👀

Just a few weeks until breeding season and our little kidding plans are complete (finally). I don't know how those with larger herds manage to decide breeding plans, as it took me way too long to decide these four. 🤣 We are incredibly excited (and grateful!) about these pairings! I will be posting more specifics about each one as they happen or whenever I finally get around to taking decent pictures of everyone.

PM if you are interested on getting on reservations! Most kids will be co-raising (aside from the occasional bottle baby straggler). This post will be updated as needed. Planned pedigrees are in the comments. 👇

Our little herd is again negative for CAE, Johnes, and Q-Fever. Although I know they will be negative, it is always so nerve wracking waiting for results. 😅

(We only test new animals with the Johnes PCR, which is why not everyone is tested that way. Everyone is tested via ELISA yearly though).

I love her so much

Our last kid available of the year!

Born 3/29 and she is ready to leave now. She is looking very promising and if I wasn't keeping her littermate, she'd be staying!
Located just outside Morristown, TN, but can work with transport. CAE and Johnes negative herd. **Must have another doeling of a similar age** PM for more info. Full pedigree in last photo.

Violet Ridge RF Lovebug “Bug”
At 1 month old vs almost 4 months old.

The first doeling my heart doe, Lovey, had given me and she’s everything I hoped for! Well, except maybe the sass. Now why couldn’t she have behaved this well while showing. 🤦‍♀️🤪

Dam: Sinai Thunder Z Double Lovin’
Sire: Ilenesrascals Ring of Fire *B

We had a great time at the Smoky Mountain Summer Classic and while I’m very happy with how the four does we showed did, I wanted to make a shout out to this little girlie!

Violet Ridge RF Goldielocks

…placed 1st in Ring 1 under judge Karen Smith and was an honorable mention in the Grand lineup at only 9 weeks old! To see one of our home-bred girls be so highly spoken of in the grand lineup feels so special! Unfortunately she decided walking on four legs was overrated in the next two rings, but still placed decently. Needless to say, she’s staying right here.

Thanks to everyone’s hard work putting the show on this year!
