Thank you everyone who has been coming to the Kentucky State Fair this year. For us it's been a record year so far and great seeing so many people from all over who have come back each year.
Paula is buy herself today, I'm lounging by the pool, feet up with a Pina Colada... or in bed trying to reboot and grabbing a snack... If you know.... you know... :)
If coming to the fair, during the week is good getting in. Saturdays' are more difficult. So come early and try to arrive before 10 or after 300ish. The traffic was heavy and the weather also looks great, so lots of people.
We have agreed the Border Collie herding demonstration is one of the coolest things at the fair.
For the kiddos, you've got the 4H area where you can pet just about anything, a neat milking demonstration, and the State police have a peddle car area, not unlike Legolands'. Gets the energy out.
The rides outside are a really top notch concessionaire. Well maintained from the looks and nice people. We meet people during their breaks.
The hardest working people seem to be the bathroom attendants and the crossing guards. Long shifts....
We will be lower on product by Saturday, we did our best getting product done, but if you are in the area, we'd love to say hi. Sold out of carrots and about 4 others, but still have about 30 flavors. No rest for the weary, so we'll have some fresh for the Murray Farmers' Market on Sept 5th.
We are in the vendor hall, near pillar "C-11". If looking at the entrance to the Expo center, or overhead google view, you'll see it's shaped, we are to the right.
If here, stop and say hi to Touch of Fudge, LLC, The Popcorn Station, Wigglewow (dog treats made by special needs adults), Wisconsin Cheese and sausage and Georgia's Pies all have great stuff.
