Great news, folks! You can now find our produce at the Harding’s grocery store in North Muskegon! This is very exciting for us, but also great news for those in our community that are looking for Certified Naturally Grown produce every day of the week! You can find us in the produce section as of yesterday, and we will be making weekly deliveries to keep them stocked up. Please tell your family and friends, and stop on by Harding’s to show that you’d like them to keep stocking local produce in their store!

Exciting news, everybody! Harding’s in North Muskegon is now carrying our produce! It feels great to have our Certified Naturally Grown Produce more accessible and available! You can now stop on by their produce aisle and take some fresh Tortoise & Hare produce home every day of the week!

What a wild week! Super high heat indexes, parasitic outbreaks, intense wildfire smoke, and perhaps the worst air quality levels Michigan has ever seen. It was not the most fun week to work on a farm. We started earlier in the morning and quit early, only doing essential tasks. I am grateful for the incredible team of people who gave it their all this week to fulfill the high demand of locally grown produce, higher than normal due to the cyclospora outbreak.

Our produce is safe to eat!!!

We test our water annually (it’s always met all standards for drinking), have an annual meeting with a Michigan Food Safety representative to go over our food safety program, use a food grade sanitizing solution (Sanidate) in all rinse water when washing vegetables, and of course, have an accessible hand washing station that is used by all employees. Our water is safe, our employees are clean, and we take great care and pride in supplying clean produce to our customers!

Thanks again to Stu, Kassie, Ian, Anna, Al, and Savannah, for their hard work this week. We are all happy to be done with farm work this week but very excited to see you all at the markets tomorrow! Your support would be so incredibly appreciated after the tough conditions we worked in. Also, you can get some fresh, beautiful lettuce (just one of many things!) that you can safely eat without worrying about getting sick. This is what we do each and every week, and we are stocked up with so much fresh, clean produce for you all tomorrow!

These are the great people growing and harvesting the vegetables you all enjoy. I could not ask for a better group to work alongside with. We made it through last week’s heat and now enter the summer bounty. Amazing work, Stu, Anna, Al, and Kassie, and of course, Ian (not pictured)!

Such a joy harvesting in the field this week! The much needed rain was just what the plants needed. Everything is growing at a rapid pace, looking beautiful, and in ideal condition! We will be loaded up for all markets this weekend! Hope to see you and share the bounty with you😁
