Mineral hut makes a great impromptu hunting blind keeping us out of the wind and rain. Life has kept us pretty busy so we were late getting an actual blind out 🤷🏻‍♂️ Good luck to all the youth hunters out there!

Been a couple days since the big mommas had a mineral refill.

Minerals are vital for cattle because they control many key bodily functions like bone growth, immune defense, and reproduction. Forages and grasses do not always necessarily provide enough of these nutrients. And with winter creeping up mineral are vital for cattle because dormant pastures and stored hays lose most of their natural nutrients, making proper supplementation essential for maintaining body heat, digestion, and overall herd health.

Thank the Lord! Finally getting some rain, we were needing it something awful. Creeks and branches were drying up, springs were slowing down, and was starting to wonder if we’d start feeding hay early.

It may not amount to much but we’ll take it! It’s getting a little crunchy in our part of the world.

If hard work paid off, the mule would own the farm... Don't forget to live before you die.

Take time away from the hustle and bustle of life to wind down and relax, spend time with your kids and your spouse. Even if it’s for an evening or a random Saturday, the piddley stuff will be there when you get to them. Home life and being yourself matters just as much as the farm work does and don’t let anyone tell you different.

Ending hay season as a family operation with all hands on deck hauling hay and containing cows. The littles have got it rough riding around in the gator 😂

Fall hay went out as quick as it came in for us this year. We caught a couple good days last week and got to work, So quick these are our only pictures 😂

Least favorite part about hay season is blowing out the baler, anyone else relate?

Surprise! We have a new heifer and a cheeky mama who decided to mess up our calving schedule! Thankful for a healthy calf & healthy mama none the less! Calving should be over 🤞🏼 and now we’re ready to cut some fall hay!

Happy 4th of July from the Garner clan. Be safe out there driving, wear your life jackets, don’t get blown up by fireworks, and stay hydrated!
