Meet the undisputed #1 dish on our menu: Doro Wot 🌶️🔥
It takes almost 2 full days of love and labor to craft this flavor explosion, and trust us—every single second is worth it. Spicy, juicy, perfectly balanced, and rich from the very first bite to the last. Honestly? It’s completely irresistible. 🤤✨

If you haven’t experienced it yet... don’t walk, RUN! 🏃💨

Dinner at Makina 💛

You didn’t think we only put our heart and soul into the food, did you? 🍸✨

We spent just as much love crafting a drink menu that can stand right beside every spice on your plate.

Current obsession: The Amiche—Kibe fat-washed wh***ey, spicy-sweet mitmita syrup, and fresh lemon. A little heat, a touch of citrus, and a whole lot of reasons to order round two. 🍋🌶️
Pull up to Queens and find your new favorite sip! 📍✨

Ever wonder why our menu looks a little different?

Growing up in Addis Ababa 🌼, food wasn’t just one thing—it was a whole core memory. It was slow simmered Tebhi, sweet Beles, going all out on rich Kitfo for celebrations, and—plot twist—homemade lasagna and tiramisu paired with freshly brewed Buna. ☕✨

When you move across the world, those vibrant tastes of home can start to feel like fading memories. Makina was born to bring them back.🌍

We aren’t just serving classic staples here in Queens; we’re sharing the real, untouched melting pot of Habesha culture that rarely gets the spotlight. Every plate is a love letter to the city that raised us—and this is only the beginning.
