What a week we had in Charlotte! Our Zee Zees team turned Booth #1803 at ANC 2026 into a modern cafeteria line, and the response from the school nutrition community was everything we hoped for.

A few things we're proud of:

✅ We launched Chicken Meat Sticks, our newest Zee Zees innovation, a shelf-stable protein snack that hits 1 M/MA and that kids love.
✅ We introduced Zee Kitchen, our new brand, and our Chicken Meatballs, marking our entrance into reimagining the center of the tray.
✅ And we built the booth to prove a simple belief: when the tray looks this fun, participation follows.

To the operators, directors, and partners who stopped by to sample and connect: thank you. Your enthusiasm means everything, and we're excited to bring it all to your menus this school year.

Doing good is at the core of who we are year-round. This week, we cranked it up. Over five days of SERVE UP Week, our team gave 300 volunteer hours to six nonprofit partners. Together we:

➡️ Repacked 2,000+ lbs of cereal for local families at Forgotten Harvest.
➡️Cleared an entire bean patch and prepped garlic at Kids' Food Basket.
➡️Baked 120 treats for families staying at Ronald McDonald House.
➡️Prepped hundreds of pounds of vegetables for Make Food Not Waste.
➡️Built 50 mini food forests for the community with Neighborhood Forest.
➡️Packed 500 meal bags in our Race to Feed with Blessings in a Backpack.
➡️Decorated lunch bags with handwritten notes for Kids' Food Basket.

Here's what we keep coming back to: every hour we gave is an hour our partners get back. This gives them time and resources they can pour into what they do best, serving the people who count on them. That's the real measure of a week like this.

We're grateful for the chance to spend a week doing good, and to do it shoulder to shoulder as a team.

Day 4 of SERVE UP Week: Serve Up Comfort.

Two teams, two amazing partners! One crew headed to Make Food Not Waste to help turn rescued food into nutritious meals by peeling 300+ lbs of potatoes and chopping cases of peppers, kohlrabi, and tomatoes.

The other team spent the day baking at the Ronald McDonald House in Ann Arbor. 5 dozen banana blueberry muffins and 5 dozen sugar cookies to bring comfort to in-residence families staying close to their kids.

20 volunteers showed up to help our partners bring a little comfort where it's needed most.

Ready, set, SERVE 🏁 Day 3 of SERVE UP Week was all about Serving Up Blessings, and we made it a race.

We split 60 team members into 6 teams of 10 and went head-to-head, bracket-style, to see who could pack bags the fastest. Then we crowned our Race to Feed champions.

The finish line? We packed 500 bags filled with Zee Zees snacks and other good food to hand off to , our national partner. These bags are headed to families across the South Lyon community and will provide food on the weekends for school-aged kids who might otherwise go hungry.

On Day 2 of SERVE UP Week, 40 of our team members built 50 mini food forests for 50 local kids to call their very own.

Each little pot holds strawberry, chives, and lemon thyme, and will be picked up by children at the Wixom Public Library. It's more than a plant: it's something to water, watch, and keep alive. An early, hands-on lesson in how food grows and where it comes from.

We partnered with Neighborhood Forest, an organization dedicated to instilling wonder and a love for the planet in young hearts. National Food Group is also funding 500 trees for kids to help their mission.

Here's to sparking a lifelong appreciation for our food, one tiny forest at a time. 💚
