We are city people who decided when the pandemic started that we wanted a different way of life (yes, we are THOSE people LOL). We sold our house in the city and moved out to almost the middle of nowhere in January 2021 to learn how to raise animals for food or who have other "jobs" to do, grow our own vegetables, and enjoy life. In our first year, we added goats (Nigerian Dwarf and Boer), pigs (I

daho Pasture Pigs), turkeys, ducks, geese, chickens, guinea fowl, barn cats, and a couple of livestock guardian puppies (still in training). Hope you enjoy our adventures...and if you have any experience to share, knowledge, ideas or suggestions, we would love to hear them!

New flavors of brats… win win win! The Buffalo blue cheese and the boozy ghost pepper pack a punch (one definitely more than the other)…the hatch green chili is subtle but yummy, and the garlic Parmesan is scrumptious. Still need to try the apple….

So after the unexpected litter and the pyometra, we decided that all dogs on the property need to be fixed.

Most of our dogs are working dogs and apparently we have visitors that we can’t control…and the pyo was the scariest and worst experience we have had as the family of some very special pups.

We currently have 4 of our working dogs in cones (Millie is the latest patient, and is frustrated with the challenges with eating her chicken leg with a cone on) …1 more is already neutered so only 2 more to go….till the pups are old enough anyway. Really hoping 2 of the 3 pups find their forever homes before we get there 👍🙏👍🙏

Going to the market today, we had a hitchhiker! Found this guy hiding in the tent…moved over to our neighbors tent during the market but then came back to its spot in ours as the market was ending just like he knew it was time to go home 😂.
