Big Leap Ranch What a crazy leap of faith we took! Follow our adventures as we build our Homestead Ranch Welcome! So far in our 2nd year, we have added quail and rabbits.

We are city people who decided when the pandemic started that we wanted a different way of life (yes, we are THOSE people LOL). We sold our house in the city and moved out to almost the middle of nowhere in January 2021 to learn how to raise animals for food or who have other "jobs" to do, grow our own vegetables, and enjoy life. In our first year, we added goats (Nigerian Dwarf and Boer), pigs (I

daho Pasture Pigs), turkeys, ducks, geese, chickens, guinea fowl, barn cats, and a couple of livestock guardian puppies (still in training). Hope you enjoy our adventures...and if you have any experience to share, knowledge, ideas or suggestions, we would love to hear them!

Well, we missed getting a lot of our setup items in the truck this morning 🥴, but we are here (Larimer County Farmers' Market) and do have all of the frozen meats and eggs 🤗

Hi all! Just a reminder for our local friends - we will NOT be at the market tomorrow. We are celebrating our 19th anniversary this weekend and taking some family time….which means we will still be working around the ranch but we will at least be working together 🤣.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next Saturday at the Larimer County Farmers' Market.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, relaxing and fun long weekend while also honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Puppies are on the move!!! Exploring all over under the watchful eye of their mama (and me). Poor Peanut can’t get away though…thankfully they still listen when she gives them the mom voice 🤣

The first lambing season for Big Leap Ranch has begun! Kicked it off with a set of female twins overnight 🥰.

Another ewe is ready any minute, and the third appears to still be a little way out.
