The field we call Headacres started as an overgrown, unused patch of chaos. Since we began restoring it, it has evolved from strawberries, sunflowers and sunhemp into a thriving mix of mulberries, grapes, figs, peaches, and so much more! To keep up with all the new growth, we just upgraded our irrigation system. Now, every single row has a direct water line. This allows us to control exactly how much water each plant gets and for how long—which is an absolute lifesaver for fruit production during this recent dry spell. After years of planting, growing, and adapting, Headacres is finally becoming a little less of a headache! 😉 Stay tuned for more updates + improvements, and the upcoming harvest later this year. 🍑🍇🍊🍋What fruit are you most excited for?
